Steelwtach is the top-gun when it comes to factual news and therefore valuable posts. Steelwtach post 11,503 at 13:35 stated that

"Petrofac Facilities Management Ltd (PFML) PROPOSES to abandon the Lincoln...."

To which I replied promptly and LASER agreed that the key word is PROPOSED, otherwise this would have been the final straw for me with Hurricane and its communication woes.

As Buzz says the market unfortunatley has interpreted this as "Abandonment of LC" when no decision is made by OGA. The price fell between the Petrofac announcement and the close by the 1p it rose yesterday. IF and WHEN the decision is made by the OGA, given its price sensitive information, it will have to be announced by Hurricane through an RNS. There is no RNS and therefore NO ABANDONMENT decision of LC.

IMHB rumours of large water cuts and the off-loads in tankers being full of water are not credible, NOR are the enforced abandonment by the regulator of a well flowing at 'commercial rates, ' NOR that Spirit want to withdraw form such a commercial well when at the same time they are 50% towards drilling more commitment wells.

"It is proposed [PROPOSED] that well operations will begin around 5th March 2020" so expect an RNS before 5 March - my previous assertion that we will have LC decision well before CMD.

Hurricane is not suited to trading by PIs given its record on communications and the resulting uncertainty surrounding it. I have stayed with it from 63p downwards as IMHB evidence is piling up to support it. Over the long term those who have bought in now will be rewarded IMHB.
