29/1/2019 22:55 | 5.9/6.1 knots is a steady speed...clearly no rush, just get there on the time planned...I like that they are happy with everything, but hope to get to the beginning of the weather window...It seems to me this is the first concerted attempt coming up, as opposed to the previous opportunistic ones...hopefully they can take it slowly and carefully.. | mhin2
29/1/2019 22:05 | Ta BH It's always a worry it breaks down, just like my body!!! | buzzzzzzzz
29/1/2019 21:02 | If you can do that it's a different story Buz, so long as your system continues to hold. Not for me though but good luck with your trading, that's apart from the trade relying on oil tanking! 😉 | bountyhunter
29/1/2019 20:56 | BH I don't watch trades at all, just set and forget! Only two outcomes win or lose! | buzzzzzzzz

29/1/2019 18:43 | Bounty oil is at 61, I dont think that is tanking at all...if it drops below 58 I might think it might. Anyway, Hur and POO are clearly linked but link up and first oil are also the initial drivers, and then testing, also Warwick...plenty of things to drive this forward (or back) other than POO. These are why I am back in after a few years | mhin2
29/1/2019 18:37 | BH....SB always a big down spike before the north surge ...Brent is a absolute dead very for that..... | telbap
29/1/2019 18:28 | I've found trading to be a bit like gambling, it's easy to gain a false sense of confidence and invincibility when you do well and then subsequently blow your winnings in a foolish trade which goes wrong! I don't think I have the strong sense of self discipline which is no doubt required to trade successfully. I also found with spread betting that there was a certain amount of unexpected and unscrupulous price manipulation going on to take out stops. Of course nothing could be proven and those occasional erratic moves were no doubt permitted within the small print which most of us never read! | bountyhunter
29/1/2019 18:19 | Bounty: Yes I would agree. Trading is very difficult. I have always done much better with paid for shares rather than trading on margin. I like the analogy of trading and taking small profits being like picking up pennies on a train track which is fine until the train comes along. We should all be aiming for small losses and large wins. Easier said than done of course but long term holding allows the magic of compounding to take effect. I am not averse to taking a profit when I think the price has got ahead of itself though. Happy to hold HUR for a long time yet though. | bocase
29/1/2019 18:18 | There is likely to be a good weather window lasting until Sunday which should make the buoy hook up operation possible. | crystball
29/1/2019 18:05 | Glad your system has worked, can't take your eye off the ball while trading though, I found it all consuming and bad for my health and social life so went back to just buy and hold. | bountyhunter
29/1/2019 17:46 | BH Made 9,000 pips last year on my system. I never risk more than 3.6% of my pot on one trade and have active stop so not too many hit the 3.6%. As my pot grows so does my stake but never more than 3.6%. Great to be ship watching again, thanks for putting the link up again. | buzzzzzzzz
29/1/2019 17:37 | Lost money with SBs on oil a few years ago so gave up - it's tough to make money that way but very easy to lose it! Same with FX trading in my experience! | bountyhunter
