Thanks steelwatch nice find, I had an e mail this morning it departed Sweden last night departed from port of Uddevalla, SE at 22 Jun 2018, 20:27:16 +0100. that's the one I had on watch as I said last week expecting more vessels out on Lancaster.
Fishing out at Lancaster will be very restrictive now, think they are going for a 600 no go area around field the tracking yesterday seem to be marked out further part area buoys maybe. The draught on the Viking was 6.5 when moored last week it may have some gear on board already, we will have to see, was not showing in port arrivals Aberdeen this morning, we will have a better idea where its going to dock on Sunday, Montrose was mentioned not Lerwick all these things can change at short notice

So the Normond Prosper must be loaded with some gear ?try and check out past tracking

Thank you Hazy. Telbap, feels like we need something to push it along but at company valuation c £1bn that's pretty high already for an e&p company producing nothing. Now I contradict must and state if this falls a few pence I'm adding. !

OPEC agreed to increase oil production by 1 million barrels a day after a stormy meeting that saw Iran storm out of negotiations.

The United States, China and India had been pushing for a rise in production to avert a supply shortage later in the year.

Iran had balked at the request because it faces sanctions after President Donald Trump ripped up an international nuclear agreement. Mr Trump has also increased pressure on OPEC to raise production ahead of mid-term elections.

Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, Iran's oil minister, stormed out of the meeting on Thursday evening.

But on Friday, Saudi Arabia's energy minister Khalid al-Falih had persuaded Mr Zanganeh to accept the proposal Riyadh and non-OPEC member Russia had been championing.

"It will be 1m collectively," Mr Falih said as he left the meeting, although the final communique did not mention the figure.

The final production hike is expected to be less than the 1 million barrels as many producers may struggle to increase production.

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries met in Vienna in an effort to cool the market after oil prices rose to $80 a barrel.

There is concern among consuming nations and some OPEC members that a shortage and rising oil prices could cripple the global economy.

OPEC and Russia agreed last year to cut production by 1.8 million barrels a day to lift oil prices that had fallen to a low of $27 in 2016.

But production problems in Venezuela and Libya have seen about 2.8 million barrels removed from daily global supply.

Brent oil prices rose 1% to 74.03 in London trading on Friday.

Cheers Laserdisc, it does seem to have had a shufty about yesterday. Let's hope that's the case and look forward to a trouble free completion on 6. Then things can potentially start to motor on at pace, for me this has always been the potential bottleneck.

An ozzy mate of mine is (or used to be) with Aramco. Since their productions cuts they've trimmed back on lots of "production maintenance" activities (well workovers, side-tracks, infill wells, etc.) - not totally, but a large number of the expat crews have been NRB'd.

I would expect that production capacity (in addition to actual production) has probably dropped significantly over the past 12-18 months, and they may need to restart much of this maintenance if they want to increase much more than just a token amount.

We'll find out soon enough...!!

300k has been my guess for OPEC increase for a while.

Saudis want to IPO Aramco before the wheels come off.
Dont put your pension in the FTSE if they list in London...

OPEC will likely offer platitudes and not much more, they can't agree a breakfast order nevermind production quotas. I suspect 500k will be mooted and never materialise leaving a significant shortfall by early 2019.

Any of the ship watchers suspect we've completed 7 and moved on to 6?

Be interesting to see if the saudis can manage a 600 Kbpd increase, there was a story on the web a few days ago which said that a 1 million bbl increase took them to a new record production and there's a lot of doubt about whether they have the capability or the capacity for levels like this - maybe OPEC are no longer the force they once were.

Bocase - The PoO is certainly working in HUR's favour right now and on into the rest of the year/next even.

BH: Yes Bloodhound, you are right, the Saudis' opening gambit was 1m but they don't expect to get that. A spike in demand is expected in the second half of the year so I think the oil price will hold up well. From memory the analysts' figures for HUR were based on $60 so anything north of that is a bonus.
