There was weakness in oils early on, probably because of a sharp fall in crude prices. Teehee. That fall was not a fall as the Brent August contract ended and we moved to the September contract - which is up 74c as we speak! August was trading at a premium because of a very real shortage of deliverable oil. No doubt September will move to a premium for the same reason, Saudi production increases not withstanding.

BTW for those of you mystified by Trump's tweet that the Saudis would increase production by 2 million b/d may find some clarity in the explanation that he had asked for the Saudis to increase CAPACITY by that amount, not production. Who'd have thought that Trump would have got those mixed up. He's usually so reliable!

It's just after the end of the month and the quarter.
A lot of small trades around this time can indicate brokers taking their periodic account fees when there's not enough cash in the accounts, and they'd be fired of in quick succession for each investor's account, so it could all be completely benign.

Besides, If you're trading, then you want a little bit of daily share price volatility, and if you're long term buy and hold then you shouldn't care about daily movements, as the long term value will out when the time comes, so nothing to get knickers in a twist about.

telbap, A lot of trades of between 1 and 5 shares went through seconds apart and all AT. Surely that is illegal manipulation because it did affect the share price.

Looks to me like some sort of computer program is trying to control the price. Seconds between trades of 5, 5, 2 shares etc.

Bill some info here on filings there are a few co's you can search, one that I recall is Hurricane GLA but there are a few others, perhaps it could be in past for the scenario splitting up assets in different co's, but seems from recent interview interested parties wanted the whole co not just Lancaster. Will be a reason behind all this but I do not know about co structures to any length tax etc

Found an old reference to a Sunshine Oil. Original partner for Hurricane eventually subsumed into Hurricane Energy but as Hurricane Exploration. Could this be a means of selling assets such as the fields already found and still maintaining the field finding element. This combined with the formation of satellite companies comprising of the separate fields would allow the company to continue exploration after selling all or part of the West of Shetland area.

Agreeing with a poster on lse the weather and possibly the fixing the Turret in place assuming other work has been completed and it’s doesnt affect other more timely work .

To our gallant / mad Shiowatchers , Once tge Turret/ Bouy is in situ will there be some type of Marker /Designator for it being a semi permanent structure ie Navigation Hazard etc .

Lots of talking of predicted prices , I’d say that the next 4 to 12 months will sort the strong from the weak , the impatient from the patient or simply , I’m leaving the table with my winnings and hopefully the next man will manage tge same .

O/t weekend work some good stuff on bligsre RBD , more drills than B&Q .

So fingers crossed for a plethora of RNS in next few weeks telling us Key Milestones have been achieved both in time and budget .
Hopefully at least a Shilling per RNS .
