Oil price - I believe the US government are trying to force OPECs hand to show that they no longer have the capacity to control the oil price - and it looks like it's working. The saudis tried to kill the US shale business by driving the price down, looks like power to influence the oil market could be shifting thanks largely to Venezuela and Saudi.

BBCwe will need to follow this stuff crude prices have jumped nearly 3% as plunging US crude stockpiles compounded supply concerns due to uncertainty over Libyan exports, a production disruption in Canada, and US demands that importers stop buying Iranian crude from November.US crude stocks fell by nearly 10 million barrels last week, the most since September 2016, while petrol and distillate inventories rose less than expected, the Energy Information Administration said.Brent crude futures rose more than 2% to $77.90 per barrel, and US crude futures rose 2.9% to $72.59.

Laser and HD....much the same type of conversation over on GGP. The offer was at bid price for most of the day....as soon as there was any upward momentum boom seller came in with small trades and down went the offer. Buying pressure continued all thru the day, someone reckoned on a 12% trade gap (how rhey calculated that I have no idea!) But for sure they did mot want the bid or offer over 1.98......we bounced between 1.89 and 1.96 pretty much all day.Harva, it has risen over 100% in the last 5 trading days!....

I did notice a 2.5m on the bid @ 45p whether that is an actual order or just someone supporting don't know ,as you know hd been here since 2014 best I have held is circa 500k never held 1m like you , but still in for more if the price drops further, I did buy #25k value the other day,I doubt if we will see lower.i will be here for the longterm, I buy monthly and add on any serious dips, co is delivering what they have said , if mr market does not want to value it so so be it, I have made a wrong decision, happy to accept that.

Bloodhound - I worked in the City for many years. Since then many times I have heard this story about shorting by MMs to facilitate a large buy. I must confess I don't really buy it. It did happen on occasion in my experience but generally only when a sudden markdown was expected to provoke a wave of selling. Otherwise, there's not only a big buyer to find stock for but a short to cover as well. Once in a while the MM I worked with did short a little to prevent the price rising when a tranche of the order was dealt, but he was pretty quick to get off the offer if someone came for his stock. It's quite a few years since I was in the market and I guess it may have changed. If so, I would be grateful if someone could explain to me how it works!

laserdisc, Steve73,
main locations for Lancaster as follows:

60.2000 -3.8626 205/21a-6
60.1999 -3.8622 205/21a-7z
60.1799 -3.8699 Buoy / FPSO
60.1899 -3.8756 North Mooring
60.1774 -3.8499 East Mooring
60.1715 -3.8863 SW Mooring

If you use MarineTraffic, I suggest setting some markers on the 'custom areas' layer, that will make it much easier to make sense of the ship movements.
For an free registration you can only set 5 markers, but the two wells are so close to each other you only need one for them. HTH

There's a seller out there for sure. But not an aggressive one. The price falls to below 46 and they stop straight away.

BH:

Yes there is certainly some large order being worked. The price is too stable for it to be otherwise. You mean a large 'sell' order is being worked.

There are plenty of investors and funds sitting on a large profit at the moment thinking they might like to take it and get in lower. Who knows but I am confident that we will get a boost on the next piece of news. We always have .

"I think it is typical of all shares. They rise (or fall) significantly on news and tend to drift in the absence of it."

Bocase - I agree with that statemement, however in our case (right now anyway) I think the 25/50k sells keep appearing whenever then share price is starting to nudge up, I'm wondering if there could be a large buy being worked on in the background at around the 46p level? Just my thoughts.
