13/3/2017 07:22 | Shale can't fill the looming supply deficit caused by the slashing of investment after the last slump, and if Trump fulfills his promise to tax foreign imports it'll intensify their domestic supply issue and drive up prices. The consensus of analysis I've read thus far is a rebound after a correction - and even if that correction takes us to the low $40s, then we're still operating in an oil price environment similar to that of much of last year.If you think the crisis will be terminal (which is promised every time the price plummets) then it rather suggests this is the last place you want to be! | terry hardacre
13/3/2017 07:18 | Cross fingers then. | the guardian
13/3/2017 07:17 | hxxp://oilprice.com/ On the same page...rather contradictory don't you think? | rayrac
13/3/2017 07:09 | Maybe not, Guardian...... | agnabeya
13/3/2017 06:55 | Pity that the falling price of oil will dampen the effect of any good news. | the guardian
12/3/2017 22:35 | Still drilling for the OWC after last weeks DST? | ngms27
12/3/2017 21:52 | Bullish Harami reverse candlestick pattern on the daily chart points to possible rise could mean good news soon to be announced. | gary38
12/3/2017 20:51 | SKANDI CALEDONIA left the rig around 4.30pm be back in Aberdeen tomorrow around 3pm Nao Viking arrived at rig around 1.30pm today | laserdisc
12/3/2017 18:36 | I've always thought buying and selling on such data vague and woolly and what if something happens ? Linking that to Chinese rice dojis etc and ushikiki clouds it's mumbo jumbo . Anyway fingers crossed for loads of news to propel us to higher highs | gibso6767
12/3/2017 17:24 | even just glancing momentarily at a 14 day chart will tell the uninitiated that the share is at the weak end of the scale for the period so where they get an overbought RSI of 78 from is beyond me. | wessexmario
12/3/2017 17:15 | not overbought but a website of computer generated garbage. O&G exploration companies don't have the same fundamentals as utilities or airlines... Exploration doesn't generate income, so statistics like ROI or ROE that are based on historic accounting are worse than useless. | wessexmario
12/3/2017 17:11 | IdleduckI don't know where he gets an rsi of 78 from. Nowhere near there according to my chart. | rackers1
12/3/2017 16:57 | tricky one I am not a trader but I believe we will continue with news flow throughout 2017 , as a longer term holder I hope we move into the next range If good news about the company comes into the market, it can trigger enough buying interest to drive an overbought stock up through resistance, making it more overbought. However, if the good news had been anticipated, the release of that news is also likely to trigger profit taking. So, the fact that a stock is called overbought is not necessarily proof that it will decline in price, but it is a good time to consider taking profits on part or all your position. | laserdisc
12/3/2017 16:37 | This says HUR shares are overbought hxxps://dasherbusine If that's the case then why has the share price been driven down lately? | idleduck
12/3/2017 16:01 | The setting up of the DST from rig floor to pipe deck takes longer than the test , all lines are pressure tested prior to use . Effectively a Drilling unit is getting highly pressurised hydrocarbons to the unit itself . Extremely dangerous and safety orientated | gibso6767
12/3/2017 15:44 | The most common test sequence consists of a short flow period, perhaps five or ten minutes, followed by a buildup period of about an hour that is used to determine initial reservoir pressure. This is followed by a flow period of 4 to 24 hours to establish stable flow to the surface, if possible, and followed by the final shut-in or buildup test that is used to determine permeability thickness and flow potential lse thread has discussed I would think that a good weather window dictates length of flow time | laserdisc
12/3/2017 14:50 | How long would it take to do a DST? | davidblack
12/3/2017 14:29 | SKANDI CALEDONIA Supply Vessel also comes off charter 14/3 back in late feb it was a 14 day fixed charter with additional ad hoc for further 14 days interesting week ahead | laserdisc
12/3/2017 14:03 | I'm thinking here , that surely HUR can afford to extend there Spitsbergens hire time and surely the importance of doing a DST is paramount and hopefully a brilliant end to this 2016/7 drilling Campaign. The logistics and cost to do it later isn't at all sensible , or anterior motives | gibso6767
12/3/2017 13:12 | Well, I suppose it's more likely we'll get news on a Monday than a Friday. But otherwise it's a guessing game...not many clues out there! Bet you are all wondering what to do on any news...like me🤔 Probably a lot of punters flying close to the sun!✈️& | rayrac
12/3/2017 10:58 | Laser Supply boats are limited to time alongside Structure ( working ), they've normally 3 helmsmen that are limited time on the helm ie keeping station on the Rig: Unit . The deck crew is normally 2 at all times / my brothers keeper as such . If lifting tubulars ie casing , drill pipe then it can get difficult | gibso6767 |
