Later in the year was what Dr Trice said on the 21st of July. So any time between now and 31st of December would be on time so a five month window.

My personal bet is October or November. Do remember the CPR is a third party document whose staff won't be back to work from their holidays till September!

chessman2 Good morning. You mention here : '' Not too long to wait especially as the new CPR should clarify matters to give you the confidence you seem to need. ''

I've researched but cannot find a time frame. Could you or any other poster here offer an insight as to when we can expect the CPR ? Many thanks.

Nicebut I think you are be missing the point.

In the Spring with oil well above $50 and rising they were optimistic that a farm out on good terms would happen.

With oil in the $40s and optimism waning that "Good" farm out was no longer on the table. I am sure they could have done a poor one? But thankfully that never happened.

Post the EPS financing a farm out now would seem to me to be a poor decision as the best deal will come when the EPS has validated the oil in place.

On this I don't think you can fault Dr Trice.

Yes...Looking forward to it...:)

BTW My first row, on here, was with Ltinvestor who swore blind no-one was selling...CA were selling- That was one of the bear cases (i.e. keeping a lid on any great share price move north). AS is another which I highlighted (one of the first to say how arrogant he sounded) having heard his arrogant interview- we then had the warrants fiasco.

I think the Co`s inability (so far) to get anyone to buy in or farm in is also not exactly good news from a confidence PoV-Why? Is it the risk factor associated with FB? Low PoO? Or what? Anyway its a negative fro me....... though on the bull case they raised a great deal of money and avoided `giving away` a % for peanuts. Bear case is/was the heavy dilution and the CB delta hedging. I think I covered most of the above...I won`t labour it but you guys seem to want to discuss it/

Any of you lot in PFC?Think it might go above £5 some time next week or so.... Did quite well on that today...thanks.

Hi Greysurfer - I should have added that I'm very much of the opinion as per DrT that
'Lancaster should be a fantastic producer'.

Agree with you regards farm-in partner, maybe not a major at this stage but still a distinct possibility.

bill hunt, the potential farm in candidates have had access to the data room and can come to their own conclusions without the CPR. I'd guess anyway.

Wait till the EPS is flowing in say March 2019 and then forward sell oil to drill out Warwick, Halifax and Lincoln?

Coming out of that any farm in might be on very friendly terms.

If you were in the position of any organisation which may be thinking of a farm-in would you want in at present or wait till the CPR. In the present climate it would seem more expedient to await the results and then act in secure knowledge.

Tend to agree, BH, though I'd add to the potential bull case a near term farm-in from a mid player which would allow appraisals on Halifax and Lincoln to move ahead.

It may not happen, but I'm certainly not ruling it out, with the more complete CPR due.

TurboCharge

Which chart is this?

Which moving average are you referring to?

The shares have been flat for the past 6 weeks - so not sure what you mean by an established uptrend.

I came across this Schlumberger datasheet that maps out the sort of modeling that goes into identifying potentially productive fractures, beginning with the acquisition of seismic data through to the eventual targeting. It may resemble the process Dr. Trice has developed and Hurricane has been using.

www.slb.com/~/media/files/dcs/product_sheets/asa_frctrd_bsmnt_ps.pdf

What it does demonstrate though, is that the wells are not drilled on the basis of guesswork and that the CoS of extracting the oil is maximised.

This chart I'm looking at suggests a Short-Term Bullish event on 3 Aug 2017 (close Price: 30.50). This was generated when the price crossed above the moving average, and in this state, the price is likely in an established uptrend.

Personally DB, I don't see the wait as the biggest issue for HUR. For me it's:

Bear case: EPS Wells don't flow as well as expected.

Bull case: EPS Wells flow better than expected.

The bear case against Hurricane

We now have to wait 20 months for first oil.

The bull case for Hurricane

We only have to wait 20 months for first oil.

The CPR, more assets and potentially more acreage being seen as side isssues of course!

Have a pleasant Friday.

Looks like the trading patten here is "Wading through treacle" in the morning and a bit of optimism in the afternoon.

So the forecast is dull till the recycling of happy buyers cleans out those glum holders.

o/t HUGE news at AAOG. Secondary completion for $800m drill signed off!!

AAOG £3m cap once cash is stripped out vs $800m drill in the coming weeks. Totally insane valuation. Should be 50p+ AT LEAST!

Highlander - I'm tempted to say something nasty but think doing so just drags the value of these boards down. However I would say I've been posting on here quite a while although not very frequently when I don't see that there is much to say. Just do some homework and check a posters history before making silly comments. :0(
