06/4/2010 17:18 | Whopping buy at the death | tom111
06/4/2010 10:07 | Still a 2.15 dividend to catch. | battlebus
06/4/2010 10:05 | Bought a few more on that dip | owenski
05/4/2010 23:40 | This week's IC has an interesting article on the sector. Panmure Gordon also discuss its BUY ratings for HNT and WPP. PG likes the sector and both companies. If you look at WPP's and HNT's forecast numbers, HNT looks even better value. I've said before that I really like the sector, but in addition I reckon HNT is the best of those. I think it's been held back by some un-certainties due to re-structuring, costs etc. I think this is gonna fly, LOAD UP. | thorpematt
03/4/2010 17:11 | or £1.20 | thorpematt
01/4/2010 20:27 | Should race to 80p now. | battlebus
01/4/2010 12:42 | Chart wise I am hoping we'll repeat the pattern seen at around 40p (remarkably similar pattern developing) see below for reference, scientific explanation and interest. see BBC4 catch up for the TV version. | thorpematt
23/3/2010 18:52 | Just a little dip which is to be expected after a nice run from 60p. | battlebus
23/3/2010 18:39 | I reckon the lobbying thing is slowly gathering pace. I think it will come up in the budget speach and I think that the sentiment will/ is having an affect on the our share price Ultimately is see it as a blip, so I am not going to loose any sleep on it. Still confident - I'm gonna hold 'till we get to £1.20. | thorpematt
20/3/2010 13:54 | This sounds positive:- "Nevertheless, Lord Chadlington, CEO of Huntsworth, was bullish about 'dramatically improving' market conditions. He said the group won £10m of new business in the first six weeks of 2010. He added: 'This time last year, many clients were nervous about their budgets and turning retained work into projects - the opposite is happening now.' " 2009 turnover was £156m...so £10m of NEW business in 6 weeks seems excellent. | jeff h
20/3/2010 12:55 | Markie7 and THORPEMATT Have a look at the Grayling website ... it shows a broad spread of practices and industry groups which may allay some fears of the impact of any restrictions on UK government spending. In addition HNT has shown it is not slow to cut costs when necessary. Most of the lobbying income comes from industry groups and is globally spread but principally from North America. If you anticipate, as might be reasonable, more government interference across the world then it is likely that lobbying from the corporate sector will grow to fill any gaps. | dk37
19/3/2010 13:59 | A tip in the midas column on Sunday would be nice. | battlebus
19/3/2010 09:30 | Full accounts due April - so yes quite soon. Reference tips: I would say that post 527 is of relevance (although for legal reasons can I just make it clear that Robbie is NOT a tipster). ;-) However, my honest opinion: I think others are just catching us clever ones up! This is gr8 stock, if it flies don't be suprised. Whilst I'm on (I am not ramping not even invested BUT) have a look at Psion (PON) if you get chance (I have posted so you'll see why)...interesting? | thorpematt
19/3/2010 08:10 | News on the way. Or a tip. | battlebus
19/3/2010 08:08 | seems a bit perky this morning... watching with interest.. would like to see more volume.. | the heed
18/3/2010 20:10 | Markie7, Very good spot. You're right this isn't positive. Public relations are a big proportion of both income (£110m) and profit (£22m) What I don't know is potentially how much revenue could be lost (anyone?). Politicians have a knack of making "savings" sound larger than they really are - and this sort of saving would be popular...(unlike the usual cuts to schools, hospitals, roads etc) On the other hand I think however if it's it the papers it's in the price. Also HNT is global, oversees revenue and weak pound giving FOREX gains could more than make up for any vote winning smoke and mirrors by Mr. Darling. Best keep an eye on the situation... | thorpematt
18/3/2010 18:25 | Like to see government agencies working without! That rise at the day end could it be news on the way? | battlebus
18/3/2010 16:43 | talking of which is there notice not due soon?? | the heed
18/3/2010 16:40 | Interesting buying into the close.. i thought the PR article might of had a detrimental effect ( although I'm not sure if it will have a material effect as there biggest client has yet to be revealed??! ).... I will continue to hold... if nothing else the div isn't too bad.. | the heed
18/3/2010 11:35 | uh oh. could be important. | markie7
16/3/2010 19:38 | More shares boughtback yesterday and it looks likely that 40000 trade at 73p this afternoon could be more anyways in all helps. | battlebus
12/3/2010 14:59 | Thorpematt, thats why i like the sector the companies are still making profits, and they offer good value. When the recovery comes the shares of these companies will recover strongly.NFC is another one im into. The sector is vunerable to take overs.Good luck | tom111

12/3/2010 13:18 | Even the naked trader has bought at 69p. | battlebus
12/3/2010 13:10 | tom, chime are on my watchlist too and have been for a while. I prefer HNT tho' hence my investment BUT I reckon the sector generally has got some good value. Realistically advertising revenues are subdued and therefore recovery for such related stocks is bound to trail other sectors. Anyway £1.20 target still for this one -top up on the dips as we go. | thorpematt |
