31/12/2008 09:55 | DAZ - Just before Christmas Aberforth topped up with 3298k and the directors topped up with 3906k - that lot totalled 7204k, likely all to have been from L&G. That left L&G with 1300k which I suspect they sold this Monday when the price revisited the 20p low. So, IMO L&G are now out of the frame. Any buybacks will therefore have to come from a.n.other crazy fund manager - no longer the L&G charity show..... | skyship
30/12/2008 18:40 | L&G in the announcement on the 24th Dec are now under 3%, leaving them somewhere under 6.3m shares, they also probably lobbed between 0.5m and 1m yesterday, so they probably have between 5.3 and 5.8m at most, worth between £1.3m and 1.45m at 25p. That's still a big stake to shift but would be buyers like Aberforth, who increased on the 24th know now with the buyback authorised, this is going to be their best chance of picking up a holding at these distressed levels. It will still take a while for the overhang to clear but I don't think it will be that long. A new year rally would put pressure on funds to invest in the market, some of which would hopefully find its way into companies like HNT. At 40p it would still only be on a p/e of 5 and that's 60% north of where we are now. | daz
30/12/2008 16:46 | the first share buyback????????????? | skyship
30/12/2008 16:38 | 275k buy in the auction | pointscorer
30/12/2008 15:04 | Game on then & not game over.... | chesty1
30/12/2008 15:01 | RNS - All resolutions passed - share buyback should now help the price stabilise if not rise. RNS - HR Director leaving - IMO no great shakes. | jpendle
30/12/2008 10:51 | Markie, After the sudden sell off yesterday, I agree, I don't think the overhang has gone either. I'd guess though that most of the overhang has gone, if that's the case the company won't have to make too many market purchases to clear it and then the shares should rally. | daz
30/12/2008 10:12 | EGM will be fine, still feels like an overhang though, not sure the directors bought quite enough to deal with the shares that came out because of HNT dropping out of the index | markie7
30/12/2008 09:57 | Not much going on here at the moment. Are investors waiting for the EGM to finish? Proxy voters appear to have faith | pointscorer
30/12/2008 08:22 | Stand by we have a buy, movement at last!! support icking up with it, could move to 28p quickly looking at the book | pointscorer
30/12/2008 08:09 | Morning all From a charting position a move up today would be nice, but longer term not bothered by the daily moves anymore. Gonna pick a few up along the way here as & when I can. Be lucky to all | chesty1
29/12/2008 18:40 | yeah, back up as soon as I was stopped out! B'tard. I set a 25% one thinking I had left myself a wide berth - if you have these stops you have to let them work. Ruddy annoyed it took me out that quick then went back up tho. Good luck, I'm watching for now. CR | cockneyrebel
29/12/2008 17:31 | Anyone know what time the EGM is? not that it will change the share price, I am just interested to know ?? | chesty1
29/12/2008 16:41 | Tough luck CR - running a stoploss system would have saved me plenty this year; but today was one of those roller-coasters which occasionally expose a stoploss. Anyway, looks as though the double bottom at 20p is now a given - so onward & upward from here.......... | skyship
29/12/2008 16:29 | Could be some more director buying that 235k trade. I wasn't offered that big a slug earlier on. | daz
29/12/2008 16:15 | Blimey I was only joking about finishing blue...LOL... | chesty1
29/12/2008 16:09 | and into auction | pointscorer
29/12/2008 16:06 | Just scooped up what was remaining at 24p, looking good value at these prices imo ;-) | pointscorer
29/12/2008 16:00 | BUT the BUY volume when they drop it is awsome...! Forced seller...Be orf with ya. | chesty1
29/12/2008 15:59 | This could finish the day blue..... Only kiddin | chesty1
29/12/2008 15:48 | As they say 'Make hay while the sun shines.' IMO This is a small window of opportunity, may last a few more days, but the management have set the price at which they feel its a buy, so they will surely buy back at anything less than about 24p. Also I seem to remember the 15% buyback had a qualifier that if necessary permission would be sought to buy back more. I'm very bullish on this share (topped up twice today - just wish had had the patience to wait for 20p), not because it is a milti-bagger but because it has a solid business irrrespective of the wishful thinking of shareholders. | jpendle
29/12/2008 15:40 | Back up to 23p | tom111
29/12/2008 15:35 | Nice volume atleast.... | chesty1
29/12/2008 15:29 | Its an opportunity IMO - the further it falls the better the divi - I'm in ofr an average of about 25p and happy that HNT has a clear future - almost all of this years revenues were in the bag at the last RNS - its just the move out of the FTSE all share index causing tracker funds to sell. | jpendle |
