24/2/2010 20:32 | My reaction to these results (delayed due to spinning cartwheels over NBPO)are:- I have some reservations 1.I would like to say that I am glad to read that the re-structure is complete, but I don't like the phrase "succesfully completed the move into our next phase of ..." (Is it complete or what?) 2. I am OK with the £8.8m restructure, but really what we mean is £30m or so including write downs. 3. I agree that the outlook is promising but I agree also with Markie's comments - the numbers are a bit cheeky... 4. How many people are employed by HNT? £6m on redundancies means a lot of people with a lot of experience (and client contacts) All of that said, HNT has potential to spin off serious cash profits (£30m to £40m). With an EV of less than £200m it's a real bargain - no wonder we have share buy back. I am still very positive but I am just waiting to see what the analysts make of this. Movement may take a few days... | thorpematt
24/2/2010 18:49 | Buyback program back on again after results. The shares should rise steadily from here after the run of sellers who can't see there is lots of upside to come. 2010 should be a good year for this company and a doubling of shareprice is possible mid term. | battlebus
24/2/2010 12:39 | Just bought some of these. Why is it they show as a sell? | verisimilitude
24/2/2010 12:38 | It will be interesting if the US market takes to this news.... awaiting the next couple hours to see.. | the heed
24/2/2010 09:03 | OK, £50m debt, £32m earnouts. £11m of revenue growth comes from currency movements (but gets included as organic....) BUT - Grayling looks like it is doing well, and this is now half the group. Ditto RED. Less sure about Citigate - looks like there is upheaval going on, which won't help matters (see PR Week piece below today - interesting timing?); Health looks OK . using the Jan new biz number is a bit rich - of course Jan 09 is a terrible comparator; the world had stopped then. Dividend good news. Well financed really (despite my comments on the absolute level of debt, which is pretty high) £6.0m spent on staff compensation payments. I wonder how many staff that was? Must be some big pay-offs in there somewhere. So - overall, a mixed bag, but hopefully Grayling momentum will pull it out of the trough - ought to be room for upgrades in 2010 I'd say. | markie7
24/2/2010 08:34 | In context. Figures were compared against record previous year. Were not going to attain similar in current climes, but by any standard in comparison to previous period, figures are good. Business now focused into 4 units. Strategy appears to be working. Forward looking statements positive. Supported by div increase. Good results imo | owenski
24/2/2010 07:55 | Great results and the outlook is excellent ,new business wins in january up 108% and this trend has continued. | battlebus
24/2/2010 07:34 | but a Dividend increase and a very good forward looking statement | pmeldrum
24/2/2010 07:32 | Well, what to make of the results? decent headlines, but highlighted items never help! | qs9
22/2/2010 23:03 | My BUY order is now satisfied... | thorpematt
22/2/2010 16:41 | Your not making me feel good about my investment but we will see. Hopefully the exceptionals are priced in already and the aquisitions are performing well. | battlebus
22/2/2010 16:34 | really couldn't care less either way to be frank. The key long run point is that HNT are trying to create a series of global PR brands (hence all the huge exceptionals). In a way, good luck to them. However there aren't any others that have been that successful (BM? Ogilvy? Edelman?) They all tend to be US orientated in reality. I also think we are in for another patchy period in terms of economic sentiment, if that hasn't started already. | markie7
22/2/2010 15:33 | Markie don't you see these rising after results? | battlebus
22/2/2010 15:30 | last chance. haha. the US exposure will be important though. For sure. The earnouts are payable in dollars as well though.... | markie7
22/2/2010 14:51 | Lots of buys coming in now last chance at 64 imho. | battlebus
22/2/2010 13:47 | Watch this motor now with results Wednesday and sharebuybacks at 64p days before results bodes well after all why by shares if you think they will fall after results. Hoping for 70p very soon and have added more this am. | battlebus
20/2/2010 18:55 | With the Dollar now strengthing against Sterling profits will be enhanced this year | tom111
19/2/2010 14:28 | No probs thorpematt let's hope the figures are up to our expectations. Looks as though expanding in the USA has been well timed with its recovering economy and dollar earnings. | jeff h
19/2/2010 14:07 | Jeff Apologies, next wednesday it is then, fingers crossed for take off! | thorpematt
18/2/2010 14:06 | THORPEMATT i like that very wise words unfortunately followed by few. | tom111
18/2/2010 10:17 | Thorpematt:- WE NEED TO KNOW THE EXACT DATE OF RESULTS - SOMEONE WILL HAVE TO RING THEM UP! ...they've already announced the date...24 Feb as I said:- | jeff h
18/2/2010 09:29 | I reckon HNT should be more talkative - see my previous post (468) WE NEED TO KNOW THE EXACT DATE OF RESULTS - SOMEONE WILL HAVE TO RING THEM UP! I think we will see a positive reaction to the results especially if they talk about the "exceptional costs" a little. I think we have a very good stock here and I think the wider investor market needs to catch up. One thing I will predict is this: The recognition may not be instant (it may take a few days to move) see LONRHO as an e.g. Yesterday on another thread I picked up this (I thought it was a very well written and that you may like it!) Accept that you may have to hold a stock that trades flatly for many months before the potential you saw in it is realised, and it finally rockets. It's difficult to hold while you see other stocks fly. You may feel like you're missing out. But there is an old saying that it is better to be sitting on the plane and strapped in for take-off, than trying to chase it down the runway. If you end up trying to chase other stocks, you will overtrade ... and you could well be selling out of a perfectly good position to catch a temporary spike elsewhere. And remember, the people who make most money out of shares that rocket, are the ones that bought and held while it sat on the launch pad. Always buy into the company, not the share price. And just accept that you can't be in them all. As long as you back more winners than losers, you'll be OK. | thorpematt
17/2/2010 16:40 | Yes apparently they have brought them forward a month,could be a positive,fingers crossed | tom111
17/2/2010 00:44 | tom111 - results next Wed I think? | jeff h |
