If they have the confidence of the bank then they can turn things around part debt financed and don't need more equity. That's how the RNS reads anyway.

they will have to do a rights issue if share price improves. Debt at US$114 million and they need to spend another $50 million to get it completed assuming everything goes to plan. And with HUM we know things often don't go to plan.

Of the budgeted c.US$115 million capex for the construction of Kouroussa, c.US$65 million has been paid as at the end of Q4 2022, with the balance to be paid over the coming quarters from Yanfolila cash flows (which have improved) and existing debt facilities, including c.US$20 million contractor deferrals, retention incentives and working capital not expected to be paid until Kouroussa is into full production

so they still have to pay $50 million for Kouroussa to get it completed assuming everything goes to budget! This when their debt is already high at US$114 million

Net debt was US$81 million on 21 October 2022

So 2nd mine back end of Q2 and if I missed it they no longer refer to "on time and on budget". Let's hope the costs don't get out of control.
Also think 80-90 guidance seems a little conservative. Q1 should be great if the production has continued as gold has put on $100 compared to Q4.
Should be a good recovery play from here

Well they were on target as we all hoped, but why did they drag that out for so long!

Good RNS and Q4/HUM/Corica did deliver for a change breaking a 2 year disappointing run. Only thing not so good I picked up on with initial scim read is they don't mention Kouroussa being 'On budget' anymore.

Should set us up for a much better year than the last 2, probably end up down on the day ;)

An excellent start to our year, outlook for Q1 is the same as Q4-2022..

AISC 1,248, so we CAN do it.., cashflow positive at last, and moving forward.

Kouroussa - OT and OB..?

Dugbe - strategic review work in progress.

A huge relief for us all here after 18 months of decline..

No gaps please, but I will gladly take a penny a day on the share price . :o)

Might be more to do with them being given the Kouroussa contract, and them doing HUM a favour by agreeing to sort out the mess at Yani.

temujiin "Betts was good at running Yani initially?" Where did you get that gold nugget from? And I think if you do your due diligence you will find he had very little to do with the "on time and on budget" scenario.

Most chartists were expecting a pullback to mid 18's and a weakish FEB for gold before moving to ATH's.

Nothing goes up in a straight line. Gold will have its day soon

Anyone else shocked by the US Employment number today? Markets, generally, not as badly affected as I would have expected, although gold's decline seems way worse than would be suggested by a Dollar Index rise of 0.7%. Bitcoin seems to have snapped back. Hopefully, gold will, too.

Currently selling at 7.6....and buying smaller volumes at 7.59
