To be honest I would take the fact that hub is bullish as a big negative as he is the typical aim muppet with a blog, chip I would listen to but hub never ...

rileyma, re the Sharehub preview of Cora: I think it should be pointed out that the author of that article incorrectly states that Cora already has Resources credited. The IPO document contains the CPR which states "The assets discussed in the CPR consist of eight gold properties, namely Sanankoro, TaganSiranikele, Tekeledougou, Farasaba III, Winza, Mokoyako-Karan and Diangounte in Mali, and the Madina Foulbe property in Senegal. Together they encompass a total area of 1,702.22 km2. These assets are at an exploration stage of development and do not currently include any JORC 2012 compliant Mineral Resources or Ore Reserves." Hopefully, the current 15k drill programme will start to bear fruit with some decent intercepts. But it will take a lot more than 15k of drilling to produce their maiden resource - that will likely take around 2 years or so, if there is a resource to be discovered of course. So, setting a target of 48p in 2018 does appear (to me) to be overly ambitious, short of a massive increase in the gold price, which would obviously 'raise all boats' in the gold sector. Certainly an interesting stock to watch but one does need to be a bit cautious about what can be achieved in the short term with a pre-resource stock as compared to HUM which will now benefit from growing cash flows as it advances its production. Happy New Year everyone. Chip

The CORA announcement on the 2nd Nov was regarding a review of historical exploration drilling by Gold Fields. But they do look very encouraging. On a Gramme-Metre basis, the 5 intercepts being quoted have an average of 46 gm which is pretty good. Let's see how their new drilling campaign works out. Happy New Year everyone. Chip

catsick - didn't Cora mention considering legal action over the decision not to proceed? Maybe HUM saw the writing on the wall and decided going it alone was a better option.

Divmad cora announced drill results on the 2nd nov and began more drilling on the 30th nov so there is plenty of new info that hum will have since the agg was announced, now we all have no idea why the agg deal fell through but I would say it is going to be bad results from the dd or good results elsewhere...

Regarding earlier comments on antics at LSE, they really are excelling themselves now. Utterly embarrassing, but the worst of it is that one or two declared novices are lapping it up. The idea that people who act in this way deserve any credibility, and should be seen as mentors, is beyond me. Cringeworthy.

catsick, Cora has NOT had any results confirmed to the market yet. What are you trying to say?

Catsick we will never know the answer to that but my gut feeling is it was nothing to do with gold, rather some issue with negotiations.

I am wondering if the reason they pulled out of the agg deal is that they could just do the same thing with the cora gold site where they have been drilling since the original deal was announced, cora have decent oxide ore at the surface easily truckable to the plant after milling and concentrating, why not work with the listed part owned company rather than an unrelated third party, I think the idea of concentrating ore at remote sites serving a bigger central plant is a very good one, Cora has just been going down and down after raising funds recently at 16.5p it has had decent results and fallen to 11.5, Hum never really explained why they pulled out of the deal and would be interesting to know why, a Cora related announcement after the current drilling program is done would make a lot of sense.

George - unless someone in the know is convinced commercial production will not meet the mark I cannot understand why the price is falling instead of rising. I genuinely hope that 35p support doesn't hold because, if not, I know where I will be putting my money!

buy the rumor sell the fact..... 35p should be support, from the chart point of view and after that it would be back to 28p. Fingers crossed that does not happen. getting to commercial production and then steady state has always been much more important than first pour. Roll on March and the first goal being met. Commercial production is normally defined as running at over 60% name plate capacity for 6 weeks or similar. It is encouraging that they have said recovery rates are already around 95% as this is often a sticking point(as knowing the levels of reagents to add is often not obvious).
