All being well there's only one direction for this to go. And the management haven't failed us yet.

Strong multiple top at 39/40 area, so depending on how the market sees this RNS it will either slink down or blow back up. Once it's through, if it does get through, 40p will become the bottom of the new range. All speculative, of course, but the potential is there. I hold on that likelihood.

 Hummingbird Resources (HUM LN) commissions Yanfolila Gold Mine in Mali. First gold pour is expected before the end of December with commercial ramp up during Q1 2018 targeting 130koz production during the first full year of production. Source: Company

Investec View: A critical period for a new producer, fingers crossed all goes smoothly for management and shareholders.

George - thanks for putting it into perspective. However, given the company's previous track record of success in every category I really thought the market would have cut them some slack.

I'd say they were milestones not hurdles.

The reason the share price is not going higher is that there are still huge risks.

Yes they have built the plant which is great but.

Now we have to prove that the ore body is understood and matches the models.

Then we have to prove that the metalurgy is fully understood and that the recovery rates can be achieved.

These are huge hurdles and should not be underestimated.

This is why the share price is not 50p or more.

Commercial production is the most important milestone, followed by a few quarters of meeting production targets.

This idea that first gold pour is actually important is a load of .....

Rant over.

They have done everything right, meeting target after target within budget. But the lacklustre market response to virtually guaranteed gold pour by 31st December is quite astonishing. Perhaps they think it's already in the price - like the $70m free cash flow in the first year of production!

let's hope the GP gets back through $1,300 soon and helps HUM Free cash flow even more then! but at £125m market cap, IMO that looks cheap but they need to extend mine life

I always like to see an AIM Company make it to producer status. First gold will be produced before year end! $70m free cash flow is fantastic in Y1.

“This is a key transitional moment for Hummingbird, transforming the Company from a developer to a producer. Our first year's production is expected to be around 130,000oz of gold, which is projected to generate around US$70m of free cash flow at a US$1,250 gold price. I look forward to reporting news of our first gold pour in the very near future."

Also if you think the company are unprofessional why are you invested?

Why is it unprofessional? We/they own the company - with quite significant stakes. So long as nothing "insider" is shared its good that the company take the time. I prefer a forum with a bit of banter than the tumble weed on here - hence why I moved to post on LSE in the first place.

Your still speaking in general terms by the way, give some specific examples of what you find embarrassing.

The way in which you converse which each other.

Also, I find it completely unprofessional to have ad hoc meetings with private shareholders who then post it up on social media. It will always end in tears!
