These are rear view mirror results whilst share prices ran away higher...markets forward looking now factoring in any slow down with all the past rate hikes and future rate hikes still to bite...consolidation phase...

Total Dividend for 2023 will be around 50c.Quote Niell Quinn. Which comprises of 23c, and 9c for the next further 3 Quarters. So around 40p and a 6.5% yield not to be sniffed at, comparing other Banks atm. Also a 21c Special to be paid next year if approved.

Not sure how low major investors want to take this over next 2 days - as they do. They seem to always wait 2 days before buying back in. Buying opportunity.Maybe even today. It's all good from what I see. US Futures down may also play a part today.

I’m pleased overall. Shares down 2% in HK as roe not raised from 12%.
Good dividend and going back to quarterly payments. Share buybacks maybe as well.

After a huge rally in shares since October it could well be sell on the news thingy...HSBC have habit of surprising the market with a special carrot...maybe they do buy back...
