Trader - not all gaps close.
Especially breakaway gaps that see trading volumes double that of the typical daily volume.

Good close, above 320. But hefty gap. See next week if progress continues.

How does that work, with you and The Moron both having the same view of HSBC?

Have it out between yourselves, but leave this thread alone - do you think that post is adding anything to mankind?

I really fancy these over two years, looking at a seriously good return, the exposure to the far east is terrific, its where the future lies and it has been largely unaffected by covid, plus educated high productivity workforce’s unlike basket case going down the drain brexit damaged UK, look at rubbish like GSK and Aviva as tired going nowhere dividend stocks in U.K., this potentially so much better. Should exit UK and europe, makes little or no money here, regulation a pain and analysts predict a 30 pc plus instant price jump if it moves HQ to HK, Trump likely gone soon which will help. Currently own 154k’s worth of these so hope I’m right.

Chest-Nutcase I think you mean forecasting not 52p, not 54p but 53p. Obviously put a lot of thought into his price analysis. That was just before the banjo plucker forecast the next leg down. It did the complete reverse and legged up. I feel sorry for people who fall for these ridiculous forecasts by poverty sub surfers. spud

Do you think that if BARC renews its dividends to a decent amount in 2021, that HSBC will not want to be beaten?
I wonder did HSBC decide ages ago what are they going to pay out in 2021 or will it be the day before they release the results in 2021?
I wonder do other banks payout influence HSBC and do you think pride comes into it.
Maybe they just do not care about shareholders as we do not matter.
With 33 billion disposable cash they could make 0 profit for 3 years and still maintain the dividend.

Two high lows is encouraging, and we'll soon be at the US election stage - when US:China relations may change - but it's not exactly flying, is it?

Still in the deep freeze.
