Chartist on CNBC was comparing recent rally to 1930 deep recession saying that rally from March20vis same as 1930. Expect market to rise until August and fall deeper after deeper than March lows. W shape recovery. Tidy up time for portfolio

I managed to buy at 371p & 375p, looking to exit at 400p.
UK suspended rather than "ripped up" HK Extradition Treaty, so I'm hoping buyers will push this up to 400p by the end of this week.

Well it does seem to to like the 370 support. Until it doesn't, I suppose.

But for the moment, working well.

My next tranche is looking to be bought at 350p. If it gets there, great, if not, great. This is a long term investment for me and thus far, I've only accumulated about 16% of my intended holding since March.spud

FTSE futures have also fallen from about 5:45am, so FTSE due to open lower.

All puts pressure on HSBC & RDSB.....imo

super....yes, RDSB off 3.6% today; below £12 now. Might nibble tomorrow. But see Dow still off so may drop further AM.
Traded them in March/April buying between 9.20 & 10.28. Sold making a good profit.

Still holding off with these HSBC at moment.....

Yes, but fewer tranches (so far) than before.

As the previous post says - not too many, much more chillaxed.

When next out, remind me not to do this, on this share, again...

At present the dollar is the main trading currency of the world. The antics of the current administration and the constant rise of China together with Chinese machinations around the world (HK and trading influence in third world countries) may well result in the renminbi becoming the word currency of choice in the next few years.

Both countries are pumping cash into markets to hold them up

It is an economic currency war at the moment

Proposals to Undermine H.K. Dollar Peg

Some top advisers to President Donald Trump want the U.S. to undermine the Hong Kong dollar’s peg to the U.S. dollar as the administration considers options to punish China for recent moves to chip away at the former British colony’s political freedoms.

May only be a rumour but who knows what DT will do.
