Well, that wasn't much of a recovery. Still watching as I think there is another big leg lower (for the market) before the sun shines.

I sold my whole holding in HSBC today. There are so many unknowns and variables on this one it is difficult to gauge value/future prospects. The dividend is never enough for me to hold in anticipation.

With the money I bought more of Lloyds - easier to read, and a few others like RB., CPI ....

"people of stature"

Are there any though? It is wet-lettuce life now isn't it?

No - bring back WP. He would never have stood for all the nonsense going on now. A bit like with Glaxo, and politicians, there is a need for people of stature to get a grip of all the "new" types in various positions of power and influence.

Marko ref 7127.I bought quite a few lloyds a long way back at 55p and added a few between there and 73p. Was sitting comfortably on them for a long time but looking a bit more worrying at the moment. I think your call would probably be better than mine at the moment lol.

Andysand i have been putting my ruler over the numbers for the last hour or so. Not sure i agree that low. My best call was to dip toe in at £440 even though it could go lower. Got to buy somewhere. I will finish off tonight and have a right good look at itIt is becoming very interesting to me

I think your target will be smashed through shortly. EPS estimates for 2016 look suspect to me (50p?). I think they will be materially lower. Perhaps as low as 35p What would that do to the price? £3?
