31/7/2021 06:53 | Thanks Yertiz, I do have an account as I have had kitchens from them before and have to say they are brilliant, and I think that's a good idea, see if they will honour the price in November, they are a friendly bunch, just surprised they don't know the dates | stevesham
30/7/2021 20:41 | My suggestion would be to call in to your local store and get to know the manager/business developer and see if they would honour a sale price for your kitchen choice in November. You will need a trade account, but that is easy to set up. | yertiz
30/7/2021 15:57 | Thank you very helpful, I don't suppose you would know how long it is on for as I won't have funds to buy the kitchen (it is already designed and their service is excellent) until November so hope it lasts longer than just October, plus with the funds arriving it should also give some spare to add to my HWDN holding! Quality kitchens, quality company, used them a few times before, never let me down! | stevesham
30/7/2021 15:51 | October is sale month for Howdens. No holidays for staff and usually (even in these abnormal times) intensely busy. Excellent kitchens and great staff.....no, I don't work for them but I do hold a sizeable pile of shares. | yertiz
30/7/2021 14:20 | What I am interested in is when the Howden sale starts and ends, I want another new kitchen and have spoken to my local depots and nobody can tell me, I know they usually are around September/October time but find it amazing nobody knows. Unless the demand is so high they don't feel the need for one, and if that's the case I may add more to my holding | stevesham

01/3/2021 10:39 | from Citywire this morning Howden delivers special dividend surprise Howden Joinery (HWDN) delivered a surprise special dividend and has started 2021 positively despite customers’ concern about tradespeople entering their homes, says Peel Hunt. Analyst Clyde Lewis retained his ‘add’ recommendation and target price of 715p on the kitchen company, which closed down 3.9%, or 28p, at 696p on Friday. Full year results were in-line with revised expectations and a surprise special dividend of 9.1p was announced to make up for the cancelled 2019 final dividend. That decision ‘also reflects the stronger than expected balance sheet’, said Lewis. ‘The full year 2021 has got off to a good start despite some caution from customers on having tradespeople in their homes,’ he said. ‘The group has flagged some cost pressures – commodities and freight – but these should be mitigated by price rises and lower warehouse costs.’ | robow
