Chuck a bid in at 740p, should be some support there. A low-risk trade as it probably won't get hit. But if it does, your risk is then to the upside.

If that happens I'll go live under a bridge.
Strange drop today but with the current climate nothing surprises me.
Many may be turning to commodity stocks or banks and neglect growth stocks.
My advise is to stick with 'perceived' winners for the longer term

I don't think we will ditch gas heating any time soon. We may move to a mix 25% Hydrogen, although the feasibility of that is questionable, due to the technical problems associated to it. HSV is already moving towards alternative heating systems, my guess is that they will go through more acquisitions and upskilling of their technicians to adapt to new technologies. The opportunity would be huge if there will be installation of alternative heating systems on large scale.

Perhaps that has something to do with Homeserve loosing over 50% of its value. So much for fundamentals, assuming they are being interrupted the correct way of course.
Analysts look to the future prosperity of a company, 10 years or more ahead, clearly with the emphasis on non fossil fuels coming into play can Homeserve develop a business plan to adapt? I guess a large investor or two think they can’t and jumping ship. Question now is what is the fair value of this company and is it worth holding given this Hugh correction.

Trades are a mathematical guess, all I ever go on is the price action, it's dropped because there's been more sellers than buyers, which has been the case now for 18 months.Correction :- Sentiment 5 v Fundamentals 0

Been watching the trades, very little selling compared to buys yet there still taking it down. All seems odd to me.

'Only now is HSV getting towards sensible valuation levels'Beg to disagree, forecast PE's - FY22 14.2x, FY23 12.7x, 5 year average PE is 24.7x. Bought here as felt it was completely under valued, the market / someone clearly doesn't think so.

Rudder - Harpin is making the right noises about taking advantage of decarbonisation but the reality is that HSV hasn't got any real capability in installing heat pumps, solar panels etc, and large scale adoption is yet being supported by govt policy/financial support.

Regardless of the move to decarbonise homes / electrify heat, there will always be a need for maintenance and emergency repair of essential home systems, it's just that this isn't as exciting for investors as the 'green dream'

Only now is HSV getting towards sensible valuation levels, although it is difficult to value given a large but declining, increasingly regulated UK business and growing international businesses.

Cost of living crisis could hit policy retention and boiler sales and inflate claims costs across all all countries/markets, all of which could have a significant drag on performance.

Final results will be interesting but my feeling is this could still go lower.

Well for what it’s worth I guess the long term future for this company is viewed as very negative. Green energy is the way we’re moving. Stock markets as I understand look to years into the future to value a stock, maybe this has something to do with it. I bought in at £8.00 thinking it was a bargain, starting to hurt now, so yes I have to say stop losses are advisable.
