16/11/2021 07:27 | Conclusion and outlook HomeServe is emerging strongly from the COVID pandemic, with the resilience of its business models proven and headwinds such as the threat of inflation, labour shortages and supply chain disruption having minimal effect to date. The company has moved forward in its three key areas of strategic focus - driving growth in North America, transforming and broadening the UK business and developing a market-leading Home Experts platform. The Board's guidance in May 2021 was that HomeServe expects to deliver an acceleration in performance in FY22 compared to FY21. The first half has delivered early evidence of this, financially and strategically, and there has been good progress in the period to enable continued growth. | cwa1

02/11/2021 14:52 | Can see 50% upside here in what should normally be a highly defensive sector. International growth. | justiceforthemany
02/11/2021 12:40 | Don't know either. The market isn't always right!.Included within their recent acquisition RNS (27th Oct) they also appear to be baffled by the declining share price as they felt the need to state the following:-'.......and confirms that the year is progressing well, with trading continuing to be in line with previous guidance.' | disc0dave45
02/11/2021 12:02 | Not clear what is going on here, still have it on my watch list but won't invest until the imminent market update. I'm not clear what bad news there could be but Mr. Market always seems to know before the PI! | salpara111
02/11/2021 10:59 | Checkatrade itself only represented about 3% of HSV revenue and I do fail to see how this justifies any slow down in growth for the entire group, North America will more than compensate, it's the usual manipulation IMO. | disc0dave45
02/11/2021 10:50 | Think they might be referring to the fact it's not turning a profit at the moment, but is forecast to do so by FY23.Also, the Home Expert part of the group, of which Checkatrade sits, is expected to be profitable this FY. Their US version, eLocal, beat their expectations last FY with an operating profit of $18m following substantial revenue growth.Harpin himself has been tasked with focussing on the Home Expert part of the group and I'm sure they will hit or exceed future expectations.....we'll see. | disc0dave45
02/11/2021 09:21 | How could check trade limit growth? | alotto
02/11/2021 08:27 | CSFB comment this morning:- Homeserve -1-2% CS DOWNGRADE to NEUTRAL (Checkatrade will limit growth) | cwa1
27/10/2021 11:07 | IG has 100% long.FCA shorttracker has zero short positions (greater than 0.5%). | disc0dave45
27/10/2021 10:21 | Shorts dropped to 3% now... | alotto
25/10/2021 19:52 | So 79% long! Can't see any reason for the sell off, guess down to general market sentiment, but IMO this is way oversold. | disc0dave45
25/10/2021 17:26 | the 21% of the open positions on Homeserve on the IG platform are short. Any reasons for that? The price looks dangerously low to be shorting at this level. | alotto
06/10/2021 16:16 | Price to sales about 2x, forward PE circa 16.On profit seems okay, have no comparators for p/sales.....have you?. | disc0dave45
06/10/2021 15:43 | It seems to have a massive mcap relative to turnover and profit | hybrasil
06/10/2021 10:02 | It's due to a downgrade from Exane, from outperform to underperform. | disc0dave45
06/10/2021 08:22 | Had this on my watchlist as I felt that the last update was decent but am somewhat mystified by the large drop. I guess that the next update will be critical. If its good then a quick return to £10 initially. | salpara111
05/10/2021 09:40 | Seldom brokers get it right | alotto
05/10/2021 09:00 | Can you ever believe Brokers upgrades??? Luckily not caught in this. | rudder
03/9/2021 13:40 | Rise can't be just down to Barclays upgrade! | disc0dave45
02/9/2021 09:51 | Brokers have been saying this is undervalued for a long time now, but it has had no effect on the share price. Wondering what has caused the jump over the last couple of days, not complaining though. | gary1966
02/9/2021 09:47 | Barclays raised to overweight and 1160 target. | disc0dave45
