They've decreased to below 5% again.Means very little, on the 5th Nov they also went below 5%, then on the 8th back to 5.01%.So expect they will return to just over 5% at some point, not a concern IMO.

No problem.Yes I have £12 fair value as well.Agree, sustaining 17% growth pa would be quite a challenge but over the last 5 years their annual growth has ranged from +45% to -6% and as you say they may be at the start of a fairly decent growth profile now with North America, France and Spain all looking very promising (they saturated the UK market sone years ago so growth here will always be subdued).HomeExperts now turning a small profit and could be a surprise source of growth (look at other similar platforms like Rightmove and AutoTrader!).Time will tell.Good luck

Thanks :) I DYORed and I struggled to work out rate of growth. A carg of 17% pa would mean a fair valuation of about 1200-1300p today by my maths or a share price of about 1700p in 5 years. But substaiining 17% pa growth is quite an ambition! Historically the growth has been slower and bumpy but this may be a period of accelerated growth.

I only take one year at a time, trying to forecast that is hard enough.I reckon this FY eps growth could be around 17% (from 42.7p to 50p).Broker consensus for FY23 is eps growth of 10%, their 5 year CAGR average pa is 17% (which aligns with my thinking for FY22).So DYOR is my advice :)

In the light of the interim results, what can be an estimate for the EPS growth in the next three years, considering the mentioned acquisitions planned in the next two years. Thank you!

Phil Oakley quite bullish on HSV, around the 30m mark:HTTPS://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/the-quality-shares-podcast-episode-10-booze-news/id1585971958?i=1000542478675

Looks good to me and this is still undervalued IMO.H2 earnings are on average 4.6 times greater than H1, so I reckon at least 50p eps for the year.Broker consensus is 48, with a PE rating of 24x, so £12+ is fair value, plenty of upside to come.

I was waiting on these results before investing. They look decent to me, the early price action today is pretty confusing looking! I might just give it a day or two and see how it settles.

https://www.investegate.co.uk/homeserve-plc--hsv-/rns/half-year-report/202111160700104524S/ Conclusion and outlook HomeServe is emerging strongly from the COVID pandemic, with the resilience of its business models proven and headwinds such as the threat of inflation, labour shortages and supply chain disruption having minimal effect to date. The company has moved forward in its three key areas of strategic focus - driving growth in North America, transforming and broadening the UK business and developing a market-leading Home Experts platform. The Board's guidance in May 2021 was that HomeServe expects to deliver an acceleration in performance in FY22 compared to FY21. The first half has delivered early evidence of this, financially and strategically, and there has been good progress in the period to enable continued growth.

Can see 50% upside here in what should normally be a highly defensive sector. International growth.

Don't know either. The market isn't always right!.Included within their recent acquisition RNS (27th Oct) they also appear to be baffled by the declining share price as they felt the need to state the following:-'.......and confirms that the year is progressing well, with trading continuing to be in line with previous guidance.'

Not clear what is going on here, still have it on my watch list but won't invest until the imminent market update. I'm not clear what bad news there could be but Mr. Market always seems to know before the PI!

Checkatrade itself only represented about 3% of HSV revenue and I do fail to see how this justifies any slow down in growth for the entire group, North America will more than compensate, it's the usual manipulation IMO.

Think they might be referring to the fact it's not turning a profit at the moment, but is forecast to do so by FY23.Also, the Home Expert part of the group, of which Checkatrade sits, is expected to be profitable this FY. Their US version, eLocal, beat their expectations last FY with an operating profit of $18m following substantial revenue growth.Harpin himself has been tasked with focussing on the Home Expert part of the group and I'm sure they will hit or exceed future expectations.....we'll see.

So 79% long! Can't see any reason for the sell off, guess down to general market sentiment, but IMO this is way oversold.

the 21% of the open positions on Homeserve on the IG platform are short. Any reasons for that? The price looks dangerously low to be shorting at this level.
