Not the smoothest of arcs but MOS doesn't look far off over six years.

UK-I, Pillion and Still Waiting - yep, potential there on those three.

shafaq - yep, RED looks like the best I can find - back to 60p in 3 years if it plays out to the max. I've bought the story on that one - the chart is a bonus.

Will be interesting to see if anyone suggests pure curves like that PFD one.

I'm listing these on a watchlist so will be interesting to see if that list looks like it out preforms the mkt.

API

Pre close on 8th Apr - The Group expects trading results from continuing operations for the Period to be ahead of market expectations due primarily to a stronger than anticipated second half performance from the Laminates division. Results in the Foils businesses have been in line with expectations, with margins under pressure from increasing raw material costs and the lag in passing these through in higher selling prices, partly offset by increased holographics volumes.

Cash flow for the Period has been strong and the Group expects to report net debt for the year end of below GBP10.0m (2010: GBP18.5m).

As the Group enters the new financial year, the high level of activity in Laminates is being sustained whilst the outlook in Foils is improving as raw material costs stabilise and margins start to recover as a result of the action already taken on pricing.

yep, they have bowl qualities boananza, and would have liked to have been in CNR at the bottom there.

A really good curve down then curve up is best - CNR is the sort of thing but it seems to have played out a lot already. A good curve back up sort of confirms the bowl and give you a chance to load up, evne tho they often rise steeper than they fell.

I have started a Flying Saucer thread (SAUC)

Here's another - RED:

The bowl goes back to 4p at least but think it might actually go back to 18p if that small spike was a fluke.

Good contract wins of late, positive noises from the New board who say they are going to take the co back to profitability (that's funny because it's never made a genuine profit in it's life under the old board) and the new CEO and Chair are former IT infrastucture big guns - taken 15% of the co and buying more recently so this one has everything imo

I'd guess that Saucer patterns are distinct from Bowls because the base is longer and flatter generally with Saucers as these are stocks which have been in the penalty box for years and thus lost shareholder base/interest completely so when they come back to life the recovery tends to be a massive vertical uplift whilst with bowls it tends to be gradual realisation of improving news.

Here are the saucer patterns I referred to previously

SRB definitely loks like it could do a 'CNR'

History to repeat itself here with FOUR? the deep bowl showed the way from recovery last time...

On reflection SRB is if anything a Saucer pattern rather than a Bowl.

In my opinion a saucer pattern is even more powerful than a bowl because once the initial resistance has been broken the upside can be truly vertical

Recent examples of massive saucer pattern breakouts were CNR which went from 0.5 to 11p in the space of six months and was the best performing gold stock of 2010.

Another great idea, CR.

I'll bear it in mind, but I'm sure you'll not want any ol' chart from timewasters getting some space here.

Oh, btw, all it needs is that..."Click THIS LINK to go straight to the posts" thingy
you got on the main thread.

RNO - potentially Simon - need to see it play out a bit - not the cleanest of bowls but might be one.

Yep, you want that beautiful curve, or as nice a one as you can find imo.

PFD is a classic - you'd have two bagged them in 4 months if you'd spotted the curve down and bought it in December.

duc. As CR says..no bowl there. Have a look in the header for the shape of a potential bowl. Still, it has got some potential for trading. Over to you CR for your slide rule!
