Solid results ... with over £3m cash and capped at only £4m making the shares very cheap ... expect a very significant rerating.

Safe, super fast growth, is what every investor is after.

The company has changed direction, also, a new shareholder, with a proven track record, has appeared last year, on the shareholder register.

Most of all , it’s incredibly cheap.

Yes - excellent results and worth c.£10m / 236pps according to my quick calcs as they are today - i.e without factoring in any further growth etc., which is unfair as Sunshine Today has pointed out.

I sold half my holding at close to 120p after it quadrupled (having been a bored holder for years previously). I think it's time to buy those back.

The 45% holding of Mr Weinreich is both good and bad. He'll protect our shared interests but it probably precludes an immediate outer for the value.

Rock solid results with revenues growing strongly.

Cash £3.1M Market cap £4.0M

Net assets £1.07 a share .

The real business valuation, (after cash deducted), is just £900,000 for 100% of the shares.

As the lighting business gets into gear ( gross margins rose a tad,) this company could become extremely profitable.

It has Two major drivers that are in its favour

1/Massive rise in raw materials , and labour, for standard wired installations, drives LED solutions. Huge cost savings.

2/ The world is going Green at pace.

Grossly undervalued.

Thanks for that, very interesting.

With the special divi being paid at the end of the month, ( out of the blue), can’t help thinking corporate action is in the wind.

Employees at the Yorkshire-based bicycle distributor Planet X will soon own the company. That’s according to founder and current CEO Dave Loughran.

Posting on his company blog, Loughran said: “I’m signing the forms in a week or so and barring last-minute hiccups we become an Employee Owned Company.”

Planet X is famous for its keenly priced carbon-framed bicycles, with its flagship Pro Carbon road bike retailing for under £800 and which the company boasts is “the cheapest on the market right now.”

Loughran founded the company in 1990, initially importing triathlon parts and then introducing PowerBar energy bars to the U.K.

One of the company’s early employees was Dave Brailsford, the Planet X export sales manager and who left the company to become British Cycling’s performance manager, responsible for running the program that led to multiple Olympic gold medals and, eventually, landing Brailsford a knighthood.

“I have seen the industry grow and change and transform into something barely recognizable from the early years,” said Loughran.

In 2016, Brexit was cited as one of the reasons Planet X made almost half of its 118 staff redundant. In 2015 the company had made a loss of £86,594 on a turnover of £20 million. Turnover dropped to £15 million in 2018, but crucially, profits increased to £1.5 million. In the company’s latest financials—for the year ending 29 March 2019—turnover was £12.6m with £1.7 million in the bank, and £4 million in stock. There was a reported profit of £965,000.

The company’s three directors were paid dividends of £712,000, and now it’s time for CEO Loughran to convert Planet X into an employee-owned company.

“I’ve been ‘the man’ for too long,” he concluded.

Loughran is modeling the change on an employee share ownership scheme started by fellow Yorkshireman Hugh Facey, founder of wire-tensioning-widget maker Gripple.

“Employee ownership provides the opportunity for every employee to have a voice and meaningful stake in the business,” pointed out Loughran, citing a YouGov survey which found that 44% of respondents were more likely to apply for a job at an employee-owned business.

Handing the company to its employees is quite a change from the plans of five years ago. Executives employed by Loughran pushed for a management buy-out. Loughran initially went along with the MBO—there were reports at the time that it could have raised £25 million—but he then pulled the plug, blaming “vulture capitalists.”

He told Rouleur magazine in 2014: “My management team was driving for a buy-out and they had to show to all the vulture capitalists a ten, 15, 20, 25 million-pound success story. It takes the founder to come back and take the long-term view and say ‘I don’t give a sh*t if we drop back to £15 million.’̶1;

Loughran took back full control of the company he had founded, telling Rouleur: “I felt like I’d had my arms cut off. Other people were running my company, spending my money.”

His company will soon be run by its staff, and it won’t be “his” anymore.

Yes strange to be selling down, guess though they have been "trapped" in this a long time so they have to take the chance when it arises.

Very iliquid so this is really a long term value play now, hopefully with increased market cap will come some more interest.

For the mysterious new major shareholder you might want to check out the article on Forbes magazine from 2019 .

Today’s RNS shows they are not the smartest trick in the box.

They have been selling down for ages into ever higher prices.

Odd.

The market marker played a blinder yesterday, lowering the price on the back of the £20,000 buy.

Investors are now going to receive two dividends with weeks and I believe a growth story to die for.

To make massive long term profits you want tiny companies that grow super fast.

It’s looking good here in my opinion for just that.
