Casambi among the fastest growing technology companies in EMEA

“A key benefit for us is that all significant lighting manufactures have bought into the Casambi solution, so we don’t need to be tied to a specific, single manufacturer or light fitting,” Sam Greer adds.”

Thus, if a price, or delivery issue, is a problem, a wide choice of other solutions can be purchased off the shelf.

Wireless Mesh Network

On top of Bluetooth Low Energy, the Casambi technology provides a mesh network where all the intelligence of the system is replicated in every node and, in such a way, creates a system with no single points of failure.
Such self-organizing wireless mesh network can control a large number of fixtures from any point. It also allows for firmware updates over the network, allowing any kind of changes to be made over-the-air. In this kind of fully distributed and symmetric architecture, any unit can go offline and catch up from others when they return back online.
The Casambi devices are smart on their own and only connected when needed. An Internet connection is not necessary for normal operation, it is just needed for user interface configurations to be sent or recalled from the cloud service.

If your a salesman, or owner (shareholder) of a fast growing business, you want an edge to get you ahead.

“The controls specification was originally a wired specification but the design team was struggling to make this solution work mainly down to budget restrictions. The project kept coming under cost constraints so Atelier Ten proposed the Casambi wireless solution to the electrical subcontractor, in order to save costs. From a functionality perspective the solution could more than meet the previous wired specification; a leading-edge circadian lighting control system, that reflects the natural, cyclic rhythm of daylight was implemented. It has a proven impact on patient wellbeing and has provided the personalised flexibility needed for patient living quarters”

///////////////////////////////////////////////

Cost constraints in the building industry are currently massive ,so we can expect Casambi sales to rocket.

More so, if the spec remains the same or is higher.

The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow offers patients the quality of life they deserve, in a place that looks and feels like home, and where the clinical and medical assistance sits firmly in the background.

We were delighted to provide all hardware and project commissioning services to the hospice for their wireless lighting systems and received fantastic feedback.

Closed at an all time high, but is incredibly cheap, when compared to the market.

Kazoom :

I think my success on the stock market, is down to the absolute conviction I have in the stocks I purchase.

I accept that some do not achieve my goals.

Get ten stocks of the same ilk as HDT, and i can assure your do extremely well over a period of time , (that will include all the ups and downs of the general market.)

You have such an edge because you have bought a business in profit, loaded with cash , for a song.

I would be inclined to agree with you, Kazoom. In the past, I believe Holders was a value trap and we have seen that over the last decade - a company that people believed had potential but has sat stagnant for years and years. And now, many people are selling or have sold Holders shares because they have been stuck in this trap and have essentially given up hope.

However, I do believe that this is the first time in a very long time that Holders finally has a solid strategy in place to take advantage of the market trends. They find themselves in a fantastic position where even government guidelines are supporting their business strategy. They have a strong team - take a look at some of their videos on YouTube to see that their business leaders are switched on people- and finally, there is something solid to go off of to say: Yes, now we know Holders is on the path to success! Previously, they were dwindling. Now they have taken action and I believe they have a fire under their bellies, ready to take advantage of these opportunities they have come across. One last Hurrah for the Old Man!

"I can understand why you are of that view.

That same view, has produced the value that can be obtained today.

In essence you got fed up waiting."

On that last point, maybe that's so, but maybe it is a case that I my investment nose has matured over time (and experience) to be more discerning of potential value-traps.

I do agree that HDT has the potential to be a fantastic investment from here (I too have benefitted from similar positions). It also, however, has the potential to be a massive value-trap for the next decade; as it was for most of the last (I've had a number of those too!)

I offer all of that up only as a bit of balance, you may well be right and make a mint here and I'll be around to congratulate you, but there is more than one possible outcome here and it is imho far from a no-brainer that the positive one will be the result.

The two most successful shares I have ever owned has directors owning 30% and 70%.

They both took time but the rewards were off the radar.

I believe buying this company ( after cash ) for under £1.5M could provide shareholders with a dream ticket.

It’s not rocket science, buy low and wait , the downside limit is the market cap of under £4M.

Put that up next to the massive billion pound companies, that fail, on an all to regular basis.

And don't forget the CEO was always keen to pay dividends and these have already doubled and will do so again on further profitability. So you do get something whilst waiting. I will be very surprised if the shares are not at least 50% higher this time next year.

Things have obviously changed with last months sale, and to some extent the new 7% shareholder arriving in town.

You worry about what revenues might be delivered after the sale, but it must have occurred to yourself it was done for a very good reason. ?

The share is dirt cheap when compared to the market as a whole, and it’s highly unlikely the 45% shareholder will not want an eventual exit.

I also note the special resolutions passed at each of the last few years AGM”S

Thanks for those views.

It’s a classic : The mugs (who have held so long,) selling, at just the very moment HDT sets itself off on the growth path.

Now now sunshine, play nioe, I'm still reading you know. ;-)

In a way, I hope you are right. During my time owning Holders share I have learned to if not love, certainly be quite fond of the company.

My ardour for Holders as an investment however is less strong. Following the disposal they become a healthy pot of cash attached to a tiny company that has been around for ever and never really conquered the world.

I agreed, some way back in the thread, that this is a pretty low risk investment. In terms of the risk of them busting I think this is true, but there is IMHO a significant risk of the share price stagnating for years.

For me there are two things I would like to see before even considering reinvesting :
1. What the actually revenue and profit are for the remaining business. And
2. What they do with the cash-pot to leverage (or return) value for investors.

Probably best I check back in about a year from now to get a better view. For now, from a purely personal perspective, I feel I have better opportunities.

Tiny amounts from those who want to take profits. That’s markets working as they should.

I have previously bought into situations like this and done extremely well.

One company shares traded at 2P and within just 4 years I sold out at £1.43P

The cash backing makes it 95% safer.

Investors here are not second guessing what the company might do, they are doing it right now.

It’s not going to be difficult to get revenues up substantially since cash is available for a sales force of substance.

No shares really available to buy this morning that I could find on interactive investor so wonder when the next batch of sales will hit the market ?

A sale of around 4000 at midday at 91p then snapped up at 14.38 ?

Looks like 10,000 went through in the afternoon sold at 85.5 and 87.5 so maybe around 10,000 shares available ??

Your correct that the lighting segment is an absolute winner with high margins.

The market cap is so small one can pick up a chunk of it for peanuts.

Watch the BBC video, a reduction in their carbon footprint and a yearly cost saving on a 14 month payback, clients make cost savings AND improve their ESG credentials .

Holders ticking all the boxes for anyone looking to invest in an incredibly undervalued business that has repositioned itself by ditching its steady PCB business for a sale above asset value .

Probably Mr Loughran has simply figured the above out and is happy to take the candy on offer .
