Yes, Hendersons yesterday closed a 4 million share long cfd, taking them down to just below 11%.

The question is, were they selling again today?

We'll find out on Friday.

So........Henderson Global Investors are showing a drop in CFD's from 17,410,361 = 4.04% to 13,209,677 = 3.06%

Would it be wrong to link the closing of these CFD's with the poster graham2405/illbetabuck......hmmmm

HMV have no fire power left, moneywise to invest in the future and have very little else to sell in order to raise cash.

In my local city when ever a retailer shuts up shop is often quickly replaced – In the next few weeks we have another Building Society and a coffee shop opening. This now brings the total to 54 where one is able to buy a cup of something with-in 400yds of the city centre.

If HMV were to close then there would be no where left in the city to buy DVD's/CD's, Games etc since Dixon, Clintons and Game have all closed in the past year – I suppose another coffee shop could open in its place!!!!

If I were the boss, I would suspend the shares Friday close of business, negotiate with the banks in the new year, but problem hedgies own 10% of the debt. Will they take it private, stuff ordinary shareholders, then in 5 years refloat and make a fortune.

I've sold my last few, now totally out.

This wet weather is killing the High Street. A friend of mine is a manager of a small chain (not HMV) up my local high street. Only the manager and assistant manager are paid a salary, all the others are hourly paid.

The manager said that he had to send 2 of his 7 staff home yesterday due to a lack of customers. Cold weather, no problem, even a little snow, however this continual wet drizzle is keeping shoppers away in their hordes.

This is the most important 2 weeks for HMV, with this rain, I'm sorry to say no chance.
