20/12/2012 15:20 | In my local city when ever a retailer shuts up shop is often quickly replaced In the next few weeks we have another Building Society and a coffee shop opening. This now brings the total to 54 where one is able to buy a cup of something with-in 400yds of the city centre. If HMV were to close then there would be no where left in the city to buy DVD's/CD's, Games etc since Dixon, Clintons and Game have all closed in the past year I suppose another coffee shop could open in its place!!!! | loganair

20/12/2012 15:00 | I've sold my last few, now totally out. This wet weather is killing the High Street. A friend of mine is a manager of a small chain (not HMV) up my local high street. Only the manager and assistant manager are paid a salary, all the others are hourly paid. The manager said that he had to send 2 of his 7 staff home yesterday due to a lack of customers. Cold weather, no problem, even a little snow, however this continual wet drizzle is keeping shoppers away in their hordes. This is the most important 2 weeks for HMV, with this rain, I'm sorry to say no chance. | loganair
