If HMV go the same way as Comet - I wonder if Deloitte will be the business to pick this up and do another Comet on it? They are one of the the big winners when these giants go down the pan.

nv, I hope you slept well and are feeling much better after your rants over the past few days. As you made money on the last spike maybe you would consider sending me a Christmas present if I provide you with my e-mail address? :-)

I was looking forward to your views on the vulture fund etc. Maybe if your calm now you can answer some of those points.

I think that is the problem a minority are having. They are associating it with what happened to comet because it was such a recent occurrence.

They are ignoring the differences.
Comet was a company reknown for bad customer service. Hmv have exlent customer service.
Comet had lots of high street compeitors who were all cheaper than comet.
Hmv has none and a lot of their prices even beat internet.

Comet was bought with the intention of selling assets and making it unsustainable.
Hmv have changed their focus and are showing signs of recovery. They now have a chairman who will take them forward.

The only thing these two companies have in common is that they are both in retail.

Wow thats some negativity.
I don't believe the shops will close. I think they are confident of keeping them open and I think that deblosses are going down and should be in a small profit in 2014 and would have been in 2013 if it wasnt for the olympics.

I think the banks arent stupid and they will know this just as the suppliers have.

But negativity can also be a good think.
The more you deramp the more chance of people believing you and the more the price comes down.

It should hook me a better profit as I am close to my wanted top up figure.

Patience is the key just as it was with ukc, lloyds and bp and the same it will be with bkir and hmv.

Rotten Debenhams can't locate my on-line order which I was to pick up in store and it has a Christmas and first birthday outfit for a one year old. Never mind nice big divi there and doubled in value since the start of the year who says retail is dead.

Look responding to a post like that one of yours was what got me an avalanche of emails before at 4 in the morning from cup of tea thistle and netley lucas. And some guy who might just have been genuine wanted my address to send me thorntons shareholder discount vouchers.

Look graham illbetabuck's been the busiest poster by far across the hmv fora today and you it didn't make a blind bit of difference. Very few take cognisance of what's on these bbs - especially the hmv bbs because they are full of chat about child molesters, ladyboys and sheep s hagger images.

People like repoman iii and thistle LSE who lost a packet on hmv kept going back to the bbs because they were bitter and twisted about their losses.

Do I sound bitter and twisted about this company? You wish.


My only gripe is with posters like you. Don't forget other posters on here already have you on ignore ie Loganair because of the quality of your previous posts.

So let's remember what you have said that has provided any insight. Not forgetting that you are here today gone tomorrow on iii as well as I always win.

hmv's interims will not be good time to sell - that's no different to any other year is it. The interims are always not too good because they cover a period which does not include the Christmas trading period when the bulk of their sales are made. But if you had listened to all Clocktower's rampings last week you might have bought in at plus 4p.

Then didn't you tell us the live disposals would break the back of the debt LOL you plonker. And then you told us there would be a takeover bid before next April's full year results.

Why are you posting on hmv? I know why I'm posting.

And the posters who filtered you did so for this type of informative posting

Nolens, you are too emotionally attached to HMV for some reason, the state of which is usually borne from wounds that don't heal. Nancy & Bill Sykes (you just keep coming back for more punishment, because you think "He needs me!")

You have never offered balanced debate. The only thing you have offered is unwavering loyalty to HMV, the kind of which should be reserved for your off-spring.

You slag other posters who dare cast any doubt about the future of HMV and then preach the virtues like some omnipotent war lord, when in actual fact you are nothing more than a Lou Beale; demanding respect 'cos you've been around the longest.

I confess to have been also eager just lately to pass on what I know but the only piece of advice I can give the like of you is to turn off your laptop, get out of bed, open the curtains and leave your bed sit for a few hours whilst you get some fresh air.

nv, Lets keep talking about HMV and not personally about any poster. I am delighted that you made money on the recent spike and wish I had done likewise. However,there was one poster on this thread that kept posting warnings, so far from ramping on this thread there was split views about the likely news that was due at the time.

So, how do you view the puchase of debt by a vulture fund?

How do you think they will use that debt?

Do you think they will manage to pay the next round of rents on time?
