Dave for legal reasons I insist its the Kazba.

EDIT...Having thought about about the question I have come to the opinion that its impossible to answer. Theres are just to many good songs and artists around to pick out one as being the best. Anyway when it comes to musical taste its going to one mans meat is another mans poison. If Gerry and the Pacemakers or the Beach boys be your tipple the music in my post above will probably make you throw up.
BTW, I like Gerry and the Pacemakers and the Beach Boys.

They were named by Keith Moon who said that the idea of reforming the Yardbirds with only one of the original members,(Jimmy Page was in the final line up), would go down like a lead balloon. They changed it to Lead Zeppelin, then 'Led' Zeppelin.
For the first few gigs they were billed as 'The New Yardbirds'

I thank you.....

Roy Harper.....Burn the world.

Because it's just a good tune.Used to help him sell his pedigree suffolk sheep when he was selling in Edinburgh.
He farmed at the Vauld near Hereford at the time.

some good songs up to now, I was thinking of 'freebird' myself, but as a lad I used to go on the royal iris, and the 'ferry cross the mersey', so I meant that I can remember the smells and feelings of youth when I hear the song.I was going out with a french girl at the time, who was on an exchange trip.

good times, fond memories, and thats what the song gives me.

Shine on Brightly/Procol Harem
Led Zepplin
Cat Stevens

Sorry not playing by the rules - got to give a reason - I can't remember but it was the first of so many that, to use the phrase of the creator of the thread "still goes there". Dave37 might have meant to "the Pool" or he might just have meant lifted off.

Agree Hendrix stuff Watchtower -
Cream - In a White Room
It is only Rock and Roll - Stones
Walk on the Wild Side - Jimmy Smith

There are hundreds ..is there a best? ... well if I had to take just one on a desert island I'd miss lots that's for sure..
