Taxi - its simple. Just go to 'search' , select the type of file you want to search for from the pull-down menu (eg MP3) then type the name of an artist of part of a song title into the search box, and press the search button. You then have to wait a few minutes for a list of matches to come up. You then select which one(s) you want to download and press the download button.

opthalmist - but where is it , i have done the download and can not find anything else , there are only a few things to click on and none of them lead to any music.
I know i am going wrong somewhere but can't for the life of me see a link to click on to take me anywhere.

Remember the vinyls in the 1980s? They used to say

HOME TAPING IS KILLING MUSIC - AND IT'S ILLEGAL. with a crossbones over a cassette icon.

What's really doing the music in is:

(a) lack of talent
(b) over-priced CDs
(c) lack of bespoke CD vendors so we can each get exactly the tracks we want on each CD if we're expected to pay £12.99 a time

That's my contribution as someone who does some work in radio.

I have found winmx to have as many if not more mp3s than audiogalaxy, and as far as i know doesn't clog up your pc with junk. You can limit uploads to be from just one specific folder.

Beware Kazaa

I got rid when I found all sorts of files were being uplifted despite checking for music files only.

These programmes load all sorts of junk on your pc and if you are trading seriously you do not want to be loaded with rubbish.

Has anyone got any sites from which free music is available? , I have been using audiogalaxy but i see they have been stopped from allowing downloads - anyone else still up and running?
