OK not always wisdom. Sometimes just cliche, and sometimes just downright bad advice.

2Deano's reaction to a posting of mine on the pbb Traders Thread included a quote from a Kenny Rogers song. Thought it might make the basis of a thread. Anyone else got any song lines pertinent to investment or trading or just the making of money?

"..Now you gotta know when to hold know when to fold
Know when to walk away know when to run
And you never count your money when you're sittin' at the table
There'll be time enough for countin' when the dealin' is done.."

Kenny Rogers 'The Gambler' (by Don Schlitz, I think)

And one I always remember when weighing up stock discussion and finding myself swayed:

"...still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest.."

Paul Simon 'The Boxer'

Wow! Just ran that Ad aware program on my computer - it found no less than 90 suspect items hiding away in the registry or some obscurely named folder on the hard disk. Needless to say, it has kindly got rid of them.

taxi,

that mike langdon chap has a lot to answer for! lol

i thought this thread was funny though:

if you're going to use file sharing programs like audio galaxy/winmx/kazaa etc i'd download and run "ad aware" from the link below first. that should remove all the spyware and popup programs that are installed on the sly by those programs.

Right, I see your problem now Taxi. What you are looking at is the winmx webpage. Once you have downloaded the winmx software from this webpage, you must run it on your computer. This program is what you use to search for and download mp3s.
