24/8/2006 11:37 | chaucer's report today of steady motor rates might have some positive knock on influence on highway, which expressed caution about its u/w in last trading update. | ursus
16/8/2006 14:32 | All I know is that interims are coming up in September. Given that the shares were touching 64p very recently, this rise over the past week would suggest to me that we should be expecting decent results for the half-year and (hopefully) a maintained (or even increased) dividend payment. | karldinnel
16/8/2006 08:47 | guess those large trades must have been buys? - does anyone know of anybody stakebuilding? | rob1914
15/8/2006 18:13 | nice rise today | leadersoffice
14/8/2006 11:14 | two nice buys today - 156000 and 186000 | rob1914
09/8/2006 11:07 | Does anyone know are those 230000, and 462000 trades buys or sells? | rob1914
01/8/2006 12:03 | siskin, Have been wondering the same myself about the 'sudden' departure of the Exec Chairman. If you look at the Chairman's statement in the results there was much about the changing Board, but no mention of his position changing. Again the AGM statement made mention of trading conditions and flagging risks in terms of ratio and investment return, but no mention of further Board changes. In the past 12 months there has now been changes of Exec Chairman, CEO, FD and Claims Director resigned at the end of 2004 - A completely new Board. Stone | stoneme
31/7/2006 09:39 | Good posts - currently with 8 % div this looks pretty tasty. However, as mentioned no guarentee that this will be maintained. 65 looks to be solid support level at the mo- reckon if it passes through this then we could see it go lower. That said at current levels I am tempted to buy in for the div. However, common sense tells me to wait to see what happens in the ME as any market jitters could have a profound effect on HWY. Investment portfolio is not what I consider to be high risk - and performance may be better than feared. Agree with fact that management change does not fill me with confidence. Maybe we are about to see a change in the way the company decides to operate? | pinemartin9
26/7/2006 14:37 | Siskinbird - Me neither although it is worth noting that they reaffirm that they will meet market expectations. | miamisteve
26/7/2006 12:48 | Recent price drop (75p -to- 70p), could it be a insider knowledge ? | jpalmer25
26/7/2006 12:36 | mmm, sudden board changes don't fill me with much confidence. No "many thanks for his splendid contribution" etc etc, which suggests a rift of some sort perhaps? | siskinbird
18/7/2006 10:59 | Citywire reported that Numis had issued a 70p price target. But I agree with your suspicions. I have to say that it was my first thought too!! The question has to be whether the dividend will be maintained? The whole reason HWY moved up from around 50p to 90-odd pence last year was because of the attractiveness of the yield after the divi was bumped up. My worry is that perhaps the management will now lower it. However, it is covered 1.65 times by earnings so I reckon that it will be maintained. | karldinnel
18/7/2006 10:15 | Kardinnel, I haven't seen the target news yet. But first thing I get suspicious that "do the have big fill order to keep up with ?" Could you kindly give us some pointers or url about that news. John EDIT: Thanks Kardinnel, Appreciated. | jpalmer25
18/7/2006 08:55 | Is that the reason for the fall yesterday? There hasnt been much news recently As far as I know the large investment fund isnt too tied up in the markets so I dont see any real reason for this. The yield is very tasty now but I suppose there is no guarantee of this being held | noiseboy
18/7/2006 07:34 | What do people think about house broker Numis' new price target of 70p? | karldinnel
14/7/2006 12:08 | thanks siskinbird | rob1914
14/7/2006 10:14 | rob Yes. Last year they paid an interim dividend of 1.6p on 14th October to shareholders who were on the register on 16th September. It was announced in the interim results on 8 September '05. | siskinbird
14/7/2006 09:47 | does hwy pay an interim dividend? if so when and how much? | rob1914
12/7/2006 16:12 | Lets hope so.. Its been a little dormant recently! 75 seems hard to crack | noiseboy
12/7/2006 14:19 | I see lots of buys going through. I presume some funds are closing their shorts already. Sign for a big bounce ??? | jpalmer25
23/6/2006 15:49 | In general, end of silly season (well, hopefully ...) | jpalmer25
23/6/2006 15:40 | why then jpalmer? | rob1914
23/6/2006 14:57 | Hi Noiseboy, It is just general market sentiment. We should see proper move @ 29th June / 1st July | jpalmer25 |
