19/5/2006 14:44 | santori, have you swapped the porsche, for a mini? | troutisout
19/5/2006 14:03 | Klaatu barada nikto..jpalmer25, your chart looks like a inter gallactic message from Mars! My car insurance premium is 50% lower than last year, surely a companies ability to sustain or increase prices and margins are relevant? | utsushi
19/5/2006 08:54 | Hi everyone. This board has been a bit quiet over the past few days. I'm interested to know what people think about the dividend. Can it be maintained? The latest estimates I have seen for this year predict a divi of 5.75 pence, covered by earnings per share of 9.57 pence (that's about 1.6 times). But I also see that Numis have published a note recently, which I can't get hold of, so I'm interested to see their numbers. As far as I can see, the recent drop in the markets could be bad news for HWY's investment arm (the bit of the business that everyone says is the most important part). But if earnings this year do come in lower, will the divi still be maintained? If it is, then this certainly does seem to be a bargain share from an income point of view. What do people think? | karldinnel
17/5/2006 12:05 | SP slowly recovering and news that the big hitters have some faith in HWY... still think the 'cautious play' angle will attract punters to HWY, several areas of the market are just too hair-raising to consider at the mo. J | jezboy1
16/5/2006 21:02 | p.s. what I meant to post before being stunned by that technicolor chart, was that it looks like a lot of investors are looking at reasonably 'safe' options to put their money in the middle of the present market madness... Hence non-growth correlated shares like GSK and shares with good divi's like NG. & UU. have started to look up as the rest of the FTSE 100 heads south.... I think this might encourage investors to HWY for the same kinds of reasons, and feel we may see an end to the selling. (Fingers crossed) All DYOR and IMHO etc etc J | jezboy1
16/5/2006 20:22 | Hi All, I am not a good chatist at all, and absolutely not a pro. I hove done some charting at 14/05/2006 22:31. It was to analyse similarity between both HWY price drops. As I've mentioned before HWY had a sharp drop before due to our honest directors over reacted thoughts. If you look at the way dropped and picked up again. IMHO According to charts that was hapened and may happen once more. I would like to point out that thin line is my prediction with no guarantee whatsoever !!! By the way PLEASE DYOR ... | jpalmer25
15/5/2006 17:57 | Totally overdone IMHO | noiseboy
15/5/2006 09:27 | Well, after directors' purchases last week in the mid-70s region, this was a strong buy at under 70p ... so I topped up at 69.6p. (A few weeks ago I had disposed of quite a few in the 85-90p region) | gorse
14/5/2006 21:36 | Ouch, I see burned shorters ... | jpalmer25
13/5/2006 11:35 | The reason for that was the RNS repeating something well known to us before. Even though HWY can beat expectations. | jpalmer25
12/5/2006 22:59 | hold up? its just dropped by about %20 in a week! | jimmymcs
12/5/2006 18:03 | Good to see it hold up against the backdrop of the rest of the market. | taylor20
12/5/2006 12:47 | Good to see director buying. Still think this is a good "Sleep at night" Share with sound fundamentals Looking forward to divi cheque net week | noiseboy
12/5/2006 12:34 | 13:18 and 13:28 Purchase of shares by DIRECTORs That's what I call decent company !!! Thanks Boys/Girls | jpalmer25
12/5/2006 10:34 | IMHO Answer to your questions: 1) 70/30 to questions 1/2 2) HWY is not a easy share to drop @ 2p or 3p change. Most likely stake bulding. However, Please DYOR. | jpalmer25
12/5/2006 10:16 | do people think the mm's deliberately dropped the share price to allow these big buyers in cheap? or are these big buyers speculating on taking a quick profit on a 2 - 3p rise in sp? in which case we will see the share price drop again after a short rise and big selling..... | rob1914
12/5/2006 09:54 | Another 500,000 buy... nice | noiseboy
11/5/2006 16:34 | There were an awful lot of small sells designated AT. I think that stands for 'automatic trade'. I hope that doesn't mean some investors had an automated 'stop loss' sell programmed into their dealing accounts. If I had such an arrangement, and then saw a bunch of large buy transactions at 73p/74p I'd be livid (probably with myself!) | karldinnel
11/5/2006 13:38 | 15:36 600 000 and 300 000 and 300 000 BUYs, Now we are talking business ... May be time to get in before the price really goes UP UP UP ... | jpalmer25
11/5/2006 12:52 | Never seen HWY drop this much before. | factsonly
11/5/2006 12:35 | Just look at the chart & figure out bounce time ... We had that before ... | jpalmer25
11/5/2006 12:11 | It does look oversold, but the old adage is never catch a falling knife. | factsonly |
