13/6/2016 11:54 | I know a lot of guys who wok for jcb or rather who used to work for them.Check your back every day to see that the target isn't getting bigger. | pwcarnall
13/6/2016 11:54 | @Zengas but this is not a new problem. Water allocation has always been a problem esp in hot dry areas. Does this mean that other wells are not being fractured in the same basin for the same reason? | loglorry1
13/6/2016 11:48 | It's water allocation and a common problem in this and neighbouring states - beyond HNRs control when everyone is competing for water (very hot weather, farming etc not to mention towns, cities). If anyone doubts it, then look at the water allocation on the govt website. When the water is available, we've got to hope then that everyone can be gathered together to perform the operation as soon as it becomes available, hence the time variable of July-September. Not for one minute do I believe anything has changed. There's potentially 3-4 million gallons per water needed to frac a well so on an operation that is now gas/water (reduced water) and x number of wells it potentially adds up to a considerable need amongst other allocation requirements. | zengas
13/6/2016 11:47 | well I for one have taken profits in CTAG and popped back in here | subiaco
13/6/2016 11:47 | Thanks PWc. Only reason I asked is that it's a small world - I do work for JCB. (and a lot of other development-related work in Staffs) :) H | herschel k
13/6/2016 11:46 | Funny Keya moderated me on the other thread just for saying bulls should also look at bears views and vice versa. Since I posted that it's halved. Feel sorry for those that were sucked in to all the hype and ramp of £1 tomorrow blah blah. | h4rvs87
13/6/2016 11:45 | HK-in between Stafford and Stone. | pwcarnall
13/6/2016 11:29 | Agree, like I said earlier time will tell. | keya5000
13/6/2016 11:27 | Thanks for the comments WShak. This isn't a bulls vs bears competition to me anyway. The testing will prove whether the bull case or bear case is applicable. The proof of the pudding, as they say, is in the eating. H | herschel k
13/6/2016 11:25 | HK, I think it's far too early for bears to declare victory here at 40p, even f they declare a profitable close. I would apply the same logic that I did when Zengas closed the majority of his shares much higher up. All it means is that someone has traded profitably according to sentiment. It doesn't mean that the bull or bear case is proven. If the shares end up back below 20p eventually, which I fully expect, that still won't make me right on my bearish prognosis. Whilst I may well close down there, the true vindication will come when HNR's refrac technology is shown to be of no interest to anyone of substance - I expect this to be clear by the end of the year. All of the shares I've been bearish about in recent years have gone on to perform miserably long after I exited my position. For now, we can safely say that the credibility of this story is considerably damaged - I don't see how anyone can argue with that. To me, the parallels between HNR and AFPO are striking.@WShak1 | wshak
13/6/2016 11:14 | bottom reached, time to get back in | subiaco
13/6/2016 11:13 | @tidy I assume you've also sold out here? | loglorry1
13/6/2016 11:09 | @tidy well to give you a clue when you were ramping AFPO at 3p saying it was going to 10p I said it would likely go back down to 0.5p Re AXM I've not looked at it but it does seem a lot of you have moved onto the next big thing. A lot of people seem to be selling here and moving into CTAG too. | loglorry1
13/6/2016 11:07 | Logs what's your shorting target? AXM is gearing up for the next HNR type run. | tidy 2
13/6/2016 10:55 | . deleted double post sorry. | loglorry1
13/6/2016 10:55 | HNR directors would be mad not to try to raise some cash here. Even if they got a discounted placing away at 25p it would be a real result. Having a full listing though might mean that this is not so easy to do I'm not sure. The fall today might mean that brokers are already on the phone to clients but I've not heard anything or been taken inside yet. | loglorry1
13/6/2016 10:28 | @HK but things have changed. The last RNS announced the delays in trials and coupled with the fact that Schlumberger have absolutely no contractual commitment to even carry them out at all. Rather than chomping at the bit and moving heaven and earth it it becoming more apparent that Sclumberger are not eager. This is a big deal and it is why a lot of the large bullish holders have sold down or out in my opinion. You seem to think this doesn't really matter but going back to April (not that long ago) the share price was 12p and the trials were still on track for June. We've now had bad news and it looks increasingly likely that Schlumberger are not expediting the trials at all and yet the shares are still extremely highly rated. I'm afraid the bull case is 100% predicated on the news the directors of HNR are releasing to the market. There is not a shred of evidence elsewhere to support this news. Log | loglorry1
13/6/2016 10:22 | Timbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr | datait
13/6/2016 10:04 | "but are you now not willing to admit that this whole story looks like it is falling apart at the seams" -------------------- nope. you said yourself, many times in fact, that there is an illiquid market for HNR shares as there are so few in free float; hence the sharp rises, and now the sharp falls. you seem to think it's OK to argue that when the sharp rises occur for this reason, it's way way overbought, isn't justified, etc, etc. but then when it falls due to a delay (which are part and parcel of O&G exploration - am I pleased, no, but am I that surprised, no), suddenly it's because the whole story is falling apart, the company are lying, etc, etc. this is why people will (and do) refuse to engage with you. you want to have your cake and eat it, all the time. I can't be bothered any more. H | herschel k
13/6/2016 09:58 | There you go that's why it is best to leave you with a free run. The last RNS stated July-September and you say unlikely ever. Not worth arguing over is it? Time will tell. | keya5000
13/6/2016 09:54 | @keya you think they will start the tests do you? What makes you say that? Looks to me that it may never happen now. Sclumberger don't look at all serious about it. Of course HNR are telling you all its just a small delay and it's all good but they would say that. Still no evidence at all, other than what HNR say, that these trials are going ahead any time soon. | loglorry1
13/6/2016 09:47 | Likewise HK. LL to state the whole story is falling apart is a tad silly. You are just having your moment in the sun like we have had recently. Not a lot we can do about it till they actually start the tests and get some meaningful results from such. | keya5000
13/6/2016 09:39 | @HK fair point but are you now not willing to admit that this whole story looks like it is falling apart at the seams or do you think it is all still very much on track? I guess you are pretty happy you sold after our discussion when even you realised the price had gotten away with itself? Log | loglorry1
13/6/2016 09:37 | I'm still here Log and you know my position already.I just don't see the point banging the same drum over and over again.Unlike you, which you do solely to get the share price down to make yourself money.H | herschel k
13/6/2016 09:29 | I see that the bulls aren't even bothering to argue their points now. @HK seems to have gone too and we know that Zengas sold most of his holding and assume he didn't buy back in. Tidy2 seems to have lost interest so it looks like the usual story. We know a lot of the bigger holders sold out at 70p+ saying they were "top slicing" or "taking a few profits". Even I am starting to doubt now if trials will ever take place here. Sclumberger don't seem to be taking this very seriously. They had months to get their ducks in a row for June trials and now we are in mid-June we find out there are water problems. There is no contract in place with Schlumberger only indicative terms. This is a very important point. Schlumberger can walk away or delay again at any time. Meanwhile they are pushing ahead with their own technology Broadband. HNR are in a very very weak position. The rag bag of other assets that they have invested in are starting to look like diversion tactics to keep investors interested to me. Log | loglorry1 |
