Electric power for vehicles is only going to increase. That means more electric motors, that means more charging points, that means more generators, more cabling, more upgrading, it all means a lot more copper.
Diesel engined vehicles are mostly on the way out, especially in road car form, the petrol engined hybrid is going to rule in the next phase, plus the all electric vehicle.
Having a copper mine will be a very good thing.

GS has finish the today news by saying:

I am pleased to say that we remain on track with our Study and for production in the later part of this year."

looool
looooool
looooooool

I know this company for so long, I never hear or read this amount of utter BS for as long as I remember, results today and another results 2 weeks time! why he can't wait to release them all together! what is the rush!
Listening to that rather shacking media release today, already hearing hesitation and excuses (namely water treatment plant building and other BS that he always so good to come up with), GS has no clue and knows nothing but just drilling and funny enough he is insisting he is still on track for production by end of this year!!! while his feasibility study would come early April!!
how on earth this rather mad man going to deliver such huge rather impossible tasks, with no economic analysis, no finance, no clue, no support and absolutely no idea how this man is going to deliver Picachos

I predicted a excuses ahead and you soon find out when we reach March that his promises is empty and hollow , his is buying time, and just feeding us loads of utter BS results which truly will make no difference to whoever consider investing here, because as long as GS running the show, no one in the right mind invest here....

his time is over, he is just running on thin ice... and sadly he will take HER with him, because he is not willing to accept the defeat come clean and tell us the truth.....

don't fall for all these rather BS RNS's that he releases every two weeks!

truly hilarious

truly sad

and truly late....

you clearly see market don't believe this mad man, and today so call excellent drill results just tick this share price 2%...

it has been fallen more than 400% in the past 2 years, wake up to reality and do something about it....

GS needs to leave

Extract:

It was another good result from Picachos, said Ambrian, demonstrating the potential for further resources beyond those previously indicated.

Analyst Jim Taylor expects the firm to complete a maiden resource during the first quarter of 2015, which would then support a mine definitive feasibility study during the first or second quarter of this year.

"The company is targeting the definition of a maiden resource of around 5Mt grading 1.3% Cu that would contain approximately 65,000t of copper from the 40M Shaft area (which has seen the majority of the drilling on the property to date)."

Talyor notes the site also has the potential for further resources not only from further extensions at the 40M Shaft area, but also from eight other areas.

First production is targeted for the second half this year, aiming at using third party processing and Taylor points out there are three plants in the region that could potentially be used - the privately-owned Tambillos operations, a Chinese-owned processing facility and Teck’s nearby Andacollo operations.

The area is already permitted for production and the company’s strategy to use contract mining and third-party processing capacity is expected to allow the project to be brought into production in a short period of time at a very low capital intensity.

"The company continues to discuss the terms of access to third-party processing capacity."

On Wednesday, managing director Graeme Sloan said: "The high-grades achieved at the 40M Shaft zone were our initial target, though we have always held the strong belief that the Picachos tenement area contains other equivalent targets, yet to be fully tested.

He added: "Having multiple open pits provides significant opportunity to increase production rates and lower costs by providing both the flexibility in mining and the optimisation of personnel and equipment."

Herencia can earn 100% of Picachos through a series of payments totalling US$8.5mln over four years, So far US$0.6mln has been paid.

yes good news, whether we get a blue or red finish doesn't matter much anymore now. I doubt any of us here are trading these day to day. It's the outcome of all these drilling results that matter , when/if we get to production or bought out etc that will decide if we make a profit here, not a market snapshot of todays ins and outs.
We should welcome the fact we have had a long run of good drill results.

Not only is this more really good news, the chances of a mining operation this yr. are now so close that even the most short term of mkt shorters must be beginning to see the possibilities for the share price

Some hints on the mkt that sentiment towards the miners is on the change, so by next Christmas we may have a winner.

This is after all one of the most bombed out of all Aim shares & that is saying something.

When we rerate I will come out of hibernation !

"It may well be great news, but will it convince any new large investors? red finish."
---------------------------------------
Picashos is last chance saloon HERe, and yes this is great news. So let's give credit where credits due eh. Been here over five years now and there have been plenty of times over that period to be despondent, and this is not one of them.

Well done Graeme, and I have emailed him to say so.

Drilling at Picachos has now concluded and a summary of all laboratory assay results will be released in January 2015. A summary of this hole (PP14049) is appended to this release.

The Picachos Feasibility Study is underway with the Geological Model being finalised prior to a Mineral Resource Estimate, which we expect to be published shortly. Contract Mining rates have also been submitted by several experienced open pit mining contractors, site visits by the mining contractors are currently underway, and the costs will be used in the Open Pit Optimisation and Mine Planning phase of the Feasibility Study.

Managing Director, Graeme Sloan, commented on the high grade result achieved:

"The high-grades achieved at the 40M Shaft zone were our initial target, though we have always held the strong belief that the Picachos tenement area contains other equivalent targets, yet to be fully tested.

In the latest drill program we included two exploration holes that were drilled along strike of the 40M Shaft and intersected a new shallow, wide, high grade mineralised zone in an area between the 40M Shaft and Flor del Bosque. We feel the results speak volumes for the potential of the Picachos tenement area and, given the shallow nature of the mineralisation, the potential for multiple open pits in the 40M Shaft area alone.

It is also important to note that these zones are not narrow 'stringer' zones, but broad widths of high-grade copper that can be accessed very quickly by conventional open pit mining techniques.

Having multiple open pits provides significant opportunity to increase production rates and lower costs by providing both the flexibility in mining and the optimisation of personnel and equipment.

I am pleased to say that we remain on track with our Study and for production in the later part of this year."

More than likely nev:

Importantly the laboratory results, which are conducted under strict quality control procedures, have shown excellent correlation with readings taken in the field by the company's geology team using the hand held XRF. The correlation allows the Company to gain a very good understanding immediately the hole is drilled and XRF samples taken, as turn-around time for the laboratory samples can take up to two weeks to be returned.

Big week for HER with news expected on final drill results. Will need to be good enough to provide us with a mine feasibility that will actually attract investors. No further funds likely to be available for future drilling so this really is it.
