Here we go the discount got too large so they stepped in and bought their own shares.
Onwards and upwards.

I've been in CGI for years, and performance, has been exemplary, but I can't see a catalyst for a discount narrowing, with the Morgan family holding a controlling interest

In saying that I never dreamed that HRI would go to parity.

Two of my favourite Trusts

I'm hoping that the discount can remain at current deservedly low levels until a significant market event. However I have just top-sliced, as who knows.

NAV now 2286p and rising over past few sessions. It may fall back 5%, but it probably deserves a narrower discount than historically, and the NAV may keep rising for a few more weeks through the new year period - but the future is unknown.

no discount to nav now - is it fair to say this has run ahead of itself so time to sell ?

With a Brexit agreement all but agreed with the EU, this will implode investor fears over UK political risk. Expecting that 2021 will bring a major return of international investors to the UK.

My expectation for 2021 is that the small/mid-cap sectors will outperform and especially so for media-tech.

If present trends continue, you might be looking back in 20 years and wondering why you didn’t move money into the Venezuelan Secure Income Fund, and the North Korean Ethical Investment Trust.

Should be good defensive in case the pound falls due to Brexit. I have also been buying Vietnam opportunity fund for same reason.
Never thought there would be a day when I had to invest in Vietnam as a defensive investment.
