GT - don't know how you get the figure of 78% held by major shareholders as that was the figure on Jan 20th *before* Gyllenhammar started buying (they haven't updated their website since then). Unless he has been getting some of these shares from the major holders (and if so shouldn't they also have issued holdings RNSs?) that means the free float is now down to around 10%, or fewer than 2 million shares. Once again I'm puzzled how with around a million buys this week and negligible sells the share price has only meandered up a few pence. Or will it be like last time when the MMs simply take it up a penny a day for a couple of weeks?

I think its the way they are reporting them. The previous 300k had two entries as well.

Unless it is another holder or institution who has transferred these hence 1 buy and one sell for each.

Good to see that the big buyers have been coming out. I suppose that 300500 trade we can assume that it was a mistake, but as you say it should have been deleted, which it wasnt.

He clearly likes this stock. It doesn't guarantee future good performance but IMO it does at least make it likely he will seek to intervene to shake things up if the current management continues to make a poor fist of it. I don't suppose he is buying this big just because he has faith in the infinite wisdom of Mr. Musspratt.

The Company has been informed by a letter dated 23 March 2006 that Forvaltnings
AB Bronsstadet, a company wholly owned by Peter Gyllenhammar, acquired 100,000
ordinary shares of 5p each ("shares") in the Company.

Following the transaction The Union Discount Company of London Limited and
Forvaltnings AB Bronsstadet now own a combined total of 1,500,000 shares (or
8.3 per cent of the issued share capital), representing Mr. Gyllenhammar's
entire interest in the issued share capital of the Company.

No, that's what's so odd. It's quite impossible that two trades of such magnitude could have been made one after the other in such an illiquid stock without any connection. The only explanations I can think of are a) an error [but then shouldn't it have been deleted by now?]; b) Mr G. has friends...
