QPP can go take a hike. I would prefer our company to grow itself. I like the story so great future for those who invest long term.

I'm happy with this.

Fundies all pointing the right way.
Share ellement in the acquisition price should keep the new crowd motivated.
If the news has by now been sold, things should return to normal.

Onwards & upwards.

thinkBIG you are absolutely right this is a recovery stock and from where I am sitting its doing everything that one could reasonably expect. Good news today for all long term holders The board is to be congratulated on its achievements of the last 12 months.....measured progress is a good way to travel for long term holders.

We won't know if it is dilution until we know whether the acquisition has added to the EPS. If it is earnings enhancing there is more to celebrate than to worry about.

The acquisition is around one third funded by shares and they'll be able to monitor performance targets,so it is eminently sensible. If anyone finds that objectionable, then steer well clear of QPP!This company has a quote for a reason,so it can issue stock and raise finance.

Looks like a very reassuring set of figures.

The issue of new shares is tied in to performance and comes with tied in holding periods. imho its leaves cash free to make further aquisitions and fund the business.

The main point is another shed-load of shares issued when they have the cash to pay it outright. That's like another placing. Market not amused - or impressed.

On the whole, results as expected and acquisition was expected so no surprise for short term shareholders who buy on rumors sellon fact. The fact is the acquisition is definitely strongly earnings enhancing and institutional money will buy the shares soon and we will be rising fast again

I wonder if some people see the law firm acquisition as a further example of `ambulance chasing` watch out for a tele documentary soon.

The main point is increasing profits which they have achieved again for the fourth time on the trot

I think the real problem today was the drop in underlying business and the threat of increased regulation in the industry which they are flagging up strongly. Comparing last year's H1 with this year is pointless as there is no interest charge to speak of this year and the company was on the verge of administration just over a year or so ago.

Acquisition makes sense from a price perspective and is strongly EPS enhancing, but as shareholders we need to accept the radical change in the business model. It may not be long before what was the only business (no fault hire) becomes the smallest part of the business.
