28/4/2017 08:21 | One thing that should be made clear is that HAYT is not a basket case in need of rescuing. My personal prediction/view is that I expect an EBITDA of £8m and a t/o of £80m this year. With these figures all short term funding issues are resolved and long term funding is put in place. Compared to most I'm a newcomer here but in the time since my first small purchase I quickly added twice as I certainly liked what I saw and the figures behind the company made it an attractive investment. | pavey ark
28/4/2017 07:53 | Down today,ld say | debanville
28/4/2017 07:50 | Always better to take some time over these announcements and read them a number of times. In reading this announcement I've come up with a number of scenarios all of which are quite plausible based on the scant information given today. My CURRENT favoured interpretation is that the HAYT board are buying time which suggests to me that the indicative bid from AVG wasn't a knockout but wasn't the silly figure being proposed by some AVG holders. I think the bid (at this stage) is likely to be at a level that can't be ignored/rejected out of hand but the HAYT board may have orders coming in that would put pressure on the AVG bid. | pavey ark
28/4/2017 07:19 | So the HAYT board , consistent with my view from start, see some merit in a potential merger with AVG:"The Board of Hayward Tyler announces that, at its request, the Panel on Takeovers and Mergers (the "Panel") has consented to an extension of this deadline" | rogerrail
26/4/2017 21:20 | I see that the deadline for AVG's declaration of intention is 5pm on Friday, the 28th. | varies
25/4/2017 16:45 | grahamwales, as you can see the seventh boat is under construction. Any work that PB does on this programme should continue. I did know this already as I have a sizeable investment in TPG which supplies the air management system to RN submarines. | pavey ark
25/4/2017 13:48 | Someone mentioned submarines the other day | grahamwales
25/4/2017 13:29 | Yes, I have met Dion when we both had holdings in Inditherm and subsequently IHC. | cockerhoop
25/4/2017 12:31 | I seem to recall the last RNS holder was also a big holder and may still be in Tricorn -so obviously likes and knows this space. | meijiman
25/4/2017 11:48 | Apols meijiman, I could have added more detail! | cockerhoop
25/4/2017 11:39 | Thanks rhomboid. Don't think i will trouble the scorers then. | meijiman
25/4/2017 11:34 | It's over 1% in a bid situation iirc | rhomboid
25/4/2017 11:29 | Are you suggesting that if I was to buy say £5k of Hayward shares I would have to make a public disclosure? | meijiman
25/4/2017 11:18 | Bid situation | cockerhoop
25/4/2017 11:10 | Why is this chap making a disclosure when he is below 3%? | meijiman
25/4/2017 08:37 | Back to 80 p is my guess | escapetohome
24/4/2017 17:28 | RR, " rabid ramper" you have to be joking. If you look back at my posts they are almost invariably a response to illogical and self serving nonsense posted by you and others. I did not post (and said I would not post) while I was considering my position regarding share dealing and since then I have not bought or sold. As far as trying to move the price I have just accused you and others of this so rather pathetic to make this charge in response. My holding here is modest compared to the rest of my portfolio and I can assure you that my interest on this board has only been sparked by nonsense comments by the likes of yourself. For your information the AVG share price has been rising because it is being pushed by Simon Thompson in IC and of course the belief by some that they can get HAYT on the cheap. The big question for most here is why didn't they buy at under 40p ? Perhaps they were paying too much attention to posts on a BB ...ALWAYS A MISTAKE !!! | pavey ark
24/4/2017 16:31 | 2 reactors coming back online in Japan. hxxps://japantoday.c | grahamwales
24/4/2017 16:27 | Roger Especially as it is in the UK, main bulk is being done in Germany. As you say though would be good to place some orders with PB. | grahamwales
24/4/2017 16:18 | Graham it would be good if PB received some knock on work from the Siemens order (as they have done on a recent ST Gearbox refurb). Have to say though it is unlikely as the plant is rated at 380MW and PB limit is 40MW. My hope is that they have not exhausted their workload on the Astute Submarines. Boat 6 is well underway ( build commenced 2012) but I am not too sure on the status of boat 7. Hopefully if Trident gets the nod there may be lucrative orders there too, but that's some way off. | rogerrail
24/4/2017 16:12 | Pavey, no, I did mean presume - i.e. in the context of assume with attitude. ps "Now we have AVG shareholders dishing the dirt in the hope that their company can bag a bargain. Interesting that these AVG shareholders post here yet the AVG BB is very quiet !! ". I hope that' s not another incorrect assumption on your part, I am posting here because I hold HAYT as do a lot of other AVG shareholders Perhaps the AVG BB is very quiet because it does not have a rabid ramper dishing the dirt to drum up posting activity under the misguided impression they can influence the sp, FYI the AVG share price has been rising steadily regardless! | rogerrail
24/4/2017 11:29 | Everyone holding their breath this week? Any guesses on the RNS day? I'll go for Wednesday. | tini5
24/4/2017 07:58 | Well spotted grahamwales, I missed that completely. I agree that this would put PB well in front for the supply of new/replacement equipment. | pavey ark
23/4/2017 22:32 | Was thinking Siemens have relationship with PB as former owners. | grahamwales
23/4/2017 22:24 | I agree alter. | p1nkfish |
