26/1/2018 09:03 | I bought in 1996 for about 335p. Looking on the positive side , there has been a reasonable income stream , but the bank would have been a better option. (But not bank shares!) An issue that hangs over Haynes share price remains the large number of family owned preferential shares , referred to in some earlier postings. | wad collector
25/1/2018 10:03 | Hi wad collector, out of interest when did you make your purchases(s) of HYNS shares? I bought my first tranche of HYNS in September 1999 @ £1.99 a share and further purchases at different prices paying a maximum of £2.619 (current holding 15K). Sadly I never got round to selling any when the price topped out at circa £4 due to a combination of inertia and letting CGT implications cloud my judgement on selling! A special thank you to Norbert Colon for his regular postings and updates. Following the encouraging results from HYNS today may I take this opportunity to wish both long term shareholders and those who have invested more recently in HYNS financial prosperity in the years ahead - best wishes IE. | investoree
25/1/2018 08:27 | The market likes the interims this morning. All I need is another doubling in the share price and I will have my money back... | wad collector
04/12/2017 09:52 | Agree NC, it sparked an interesting discussion on Twitter about pension deficit accounting, my simplistic approach is to ignore the deficit as the agreed deficit related supplementary pension contributions are captured in the P&L , £1.7m pension cost is humongous in the context of HYNS, and as corporate bond rates revert to more normal levels the deficit will reduce dramatically (iirc 0.25% equates to 5m) There is also the little matter of the Sparkford site sale proceeds, I see it’s been taken off sale as they repackage it with commercial and residential schemes separate , not sure what value but significant 🤔 | rhomboid
04/12/2017 09:37 | Always good to hear investors bull and bear cases. I am long term positive on the stock but happy to post all opinions. Interesting Richard was selling as I was buying (around 110p) - that's what makes a market and keep things interesting! | norbert colon
04/12/2017 09:05 | Thanks , not exactly a glowing buy note! | wad collector

09/11/2017 21:10 | Thanks for the additional information, sounds positive and heading in the right direction along the transitional path. I await results in the new year with interest. | rp19
09/11/2017 19:43 | Another investor asked the same valid question but to be honest after the AGM last year the mgt set time aside to showcase HaynesPro to me and another investor during which we got a much better understanding of their professional offering and routes to market etc. On this basis and given time constraints whilst a further specific update on HaynesPro would have been welcome, it was not too of my agenda as it's already evident that HaynesPro continues to perform very well and will over the next few years no doubt become the primary source of growth and revenue for the Group alongside their consumer digital offerings. | norbert colon
09/11/2017 19:35 | Excellent write up, thanks for sharing. Was there any indication that HaynesPro is progressing as intended? | rp19

02/10/2017 14:45 | It's a great acquisition. They paid around 2 x sales for E3 which is about right. Panmure value the professional part of Haynes at 2.5 x sales by comparison. Also opens up the UK market for them as whilst they are strong in Europe (RMI platform provider) they are not so strong in the UK where Autodata has the edge over them. Panmure have raised EPS by 10% for FY18 and TP moves up to 235p which by coincidence (or not...) was my original valuation for Haynes that I set earlier this year. | norbert colon
02/10/2017 09:59 | Yes another 3 yr high , though hope they didn't pay too much for it.... | wad collector

16/9/2017 10:51 | Happy with the results, 51% year on year growth in digital revenues is pleasing. | rp19
14/9/2017 09:27 | I see no reason why not :)) Digital now accounts for 40% revenues.. First Quarter Trading Through the first quarter of 2017/18, Group trading on a like-for-like basis (excluding exchange rate movements and OATS) is tracking 7% ahead of last year. At an entity level, apart from Australia, where revenue is below last year but following the structural changes made in 2015/16 is ahead of target, all parts of the Group in their local currencies are trading ahead of last year. | battlebus2
14/9/2017 09:26 | Patience starting to be rewarded here , another 100% rise in the share price and I might get my money back... | wad collector
