Seems counter-intuitive. Flat divi is only bad bit I can see, presumably the market expected more?

Heaven knows 🙄. Pretty illiquid so a few selling on results can cause it to move sharply

Haynes Publishing Group P.L.C.

2018 Trading Update

Haynes Publishing Group ("Haynes" or "the Group") is pleased to announce a trading update for the financial year ended 31 May 2018.

The Group is on target to report adjusted profit before tax (excluding adjusting items and acquired intangible amortisation) up c. 10% from the prior year and ahead of current market forecasts by c. 7% for the year ended 31 May 2018.

The net impact of adjusting items is expected to increase reported profit before tax by c. GBP0.6 million to leave the Group approximately 30% ahead of the prior year.

As reported at the interim results in January, the changes to the US federal tax rate will reduce the US net deferred tax assets and liabilities by c. GBP0.8 million. Therefore, Group profit after tax and adjusting items will be c. 5% lower than the prior year.

The Group will be announcing its full year results for the financial year ended 31 May 2018 on 5 September 2018.

Eddie Bell, Group Chairman, said:

"I am pleased to report that the Group's performance is tracking ahead of market forecasts.

Our focus remains on the delivery of content, data and solutions for our local and global partners. To maintain the current momentum, Haynes will continue to invest in our people and technology to ensure we provide reliable, accurate and valuable information."

Expect the share price to be pulled back in coming days. This is close to the 10 years high and lots of resistance at this level.

Very nice. Now that we have broken the 230 barrier, we can look to move a lot higher. This is still well under the radar.

Nice 10k buy just before close yesterday. Marked down slightly today due to ex-div but chance to top up for anyone interested.

This goes ex-div tomorrow. Today is the last day to buy to get dividend.

Agree that we could well test the 230p. If that breaks, we will have a quick re-rate to next level.

What is your target price, bus? Do you hold or plan to buy?

It’s always been pretty illiquid and after a tip it won’t be that unusual to see the MM,s shut the offer down. I don’t see them as a takeover target just yet.

Ya had forgotten about dividend. good reminder. both dividend paying and growth company. they were willing to take load off me but weren't giving price to buy.

Yes, looking very cheap considering digital growth strategy. Sky is the limit if we break 230p. Good dividend as well. Easy takeover target for one of the aerospace or manufacturing companies.

Takeover by one of the engineering manufactu4ing firms to bring the technical publications in-house?
Can't get quotes to buy online.

It will be. Mind you, I believe their other tip was CVR at £3, now trading at close to £1, talk about timing.

Subscriber only link Norbert (Great name); perhaps IC the reason behind today's little lift?
