This is what they actually say..in short;

''The news everyone is waiting for is still the approval of its planning application for the Tower colliery project, which is believed to be imminent. The council are due to meet as we go to press on 4 July and if it comes off it should drive eps forecasts and the share price sharply higher. Await developments....''

The last update suggests the approval is as good as in the bag.

No.

It is an AIM stock and these can only be put in an ISA if they are also quoted on another recognised stock exchange.

PLUS Markets does not count.

From today's update "A meeting date has now been scheduled by Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council for 4(th) July 2011 to consider the planning application for the Tower project".

The price action over the last few months suggests there should be a positive outcome.

Remember this is Wales. They do need the jobs, so I would have thought planning is likely to be granted, particularly as it is re-opening of an existing colliery. However, if it isn't, of course there will be a dip in share price - stands to reason. Also, we don't know when PP is expected to be granted - supposed to be summer this year, but was originally supposed to be February, then March and so on. Difficult to know which way to play it, but I am happy to be long here from much lower prices, and expect to hold through any announcements.

Cheers,
Steve.

Then they try,try and try and try again until they succeed. Private objectors do not have unlimited funds and councillors can be surcharged for wasting public money on unfounded refusals. Fear makes the councillors give in whether there is a good case for refusal or not. So the deepest purse always wins. It just takes time. I merely describe the system without expressing approval or otherwise.

What about if there is not any planning approval?

gobbledigooch mate. The chart is still in the uptrend and showing a lot of strength.

If they announce planning approval for the tower colliery then £12 in no time at all...I wouldnt want to be short this stock I assure you.

I agree with your fundamental view stevemarcus but my shorting decision is purely based on both long and short timeframes technical patterns which indicate a huge bearish divergence between price move and both macd histogram and lines and Force index (sharp downmove inminent).
If Monday,s report is really good could go further up that,s because I set up a very tight stop loss .
My guess is that this massive bearish divergence anticipates bad news coming and a sharp correction due although this is just one trader,s opinion ...

Each to their own, but I would think a short could be very dangerous at this stage, with expected news on planning permission for Tower Colliery reasonably imminent. Of course if it is refused then a short would look very insightful, but not if granted.

Cheers,
Steve.

Both long and short timeframes indicate a massive bearish divergence . Good time to short it although could see a bit more upside momentum after the results on Monday.
