I wonder whether this is the moment to whack all my sterling into US dollars at 1.36 and get clear of uk investments full stop and go S&P and Russel 2000 and avoid anymore uk grief....scotland wanting to split and rejoin eu/johnson dying/resigning...reality of brexit starting to dawn...covid fiasco/cost of, coffee, smell, wake up etc🤔🤔;

I'm still hanging around, a little bored. Adding lower, selling higher, that kind of thing. Not very well I'll admit.

And compared to the likes of the PM miners, (POLY and FRES) it's very dull. I am at least providing HL with substantial income from those and others.

moved back to trading this stock only....something hanging over it, the owners, whether the woodford investors about to launch lawsuit, whatever it is these defo seem to have best days behind them. Brexit deal was poor for 80pc of economy of uk ie services so maybe thats not helping either....did expect better from HL share price tho.

Monday 1st Feb 2021 is Interim Results announcement (according to HL website), so that should help. The results will be for half year ended 31 Dec, hopefully an increased interim dividend too.

Today's IC debates the W debarcle, needless to say, no conclusion. Link, perhaps, most culpable (?)Well I say no conclusion, only observation is that on a no-win, no-fee basis, ambulance chasing lawyers need to be sure to 'pony up'. Wait, there's a pink elephant flying past the window.......

I am in the same boat. Looking to average down but the share just seems so apathetic at the mo so think I am just gonna pop this one in the bottom drawer and forget about it. It should be much higher

I'm still buying and selling, although not really getting the top and bottom of the current range, which isn't big anyway, and therefore not making much out of it. Still keeping a core for much higher prices. Added some today at 1428, previous sale at 1462, as needed to buy some other stuff. As I say, not getting the top, and not making much. But (nominally) better than a kick in the teeth....

This will change, and I'm OK with what is happening for now - although need more volatility as has been the case until the last month or so.

As per 1093, it's boring currently, although I know others (e.g. FRES) doing much the same after being very volatile normally.

Dont know whether to average down, seems to have severely lost its mojo....all the other asset managers doing better, combination of things with this, pity, has to be the overhang with owners, brexit deal required or these will get hammered again along with sterling and ftse 350......
