Asia Pacific $675+ Million Aerospace Coating Market Forecast to 2027 - Increasing Demand from North America - ResearchAndMarkets.com

Aircrafts has to withstand high climatic stress which generally damages the metal surface resulting in frequent repairs and maintenance. Aerospace coatings provides high resistance against corrosion, ultraviolet rays and solar hear, fog and other adverse weather conditions.

Aerospace coating not only provides protection the aircraft but also reduces the weight of the aircraft which helps in reducing CO2 emission. The requirement of coatings for aircraft is also due to the change in environment regulations. Aerospace coatings are designed in order to prevent temperature fluctuations, variable air pressure and variable air instabilities. Miniaturization, Precision and high strength has become the important features of aerospace coating.

That seems to be concerned with external surfaces it mentions camouflage, rather than type of heavy duty components HDD is concerned with.

The Commodities Feed: Oil continues its move higher

The oil market has continued its strong run, with ICE Brent up 6% so far this week, and briefly trading above US$59/bbl yesterday. Stronger equity markets have proved supportive for oil, whilst sentiment following the various OPEC+ meetings this week was also constructive. OPEC+ was of the view that OECD inventories will fall below their 5-year average by June, and also suggested that they remain committed to rebalancing the market quickly. With Covid-19 cases now declining in certain regions, including the US and the UK, there will be a glimmer of hope that the worst is now behind us, particularly as the rolling out of vaccinations picks up.

The Saudis left their March official selling price for Arab Light into Asia unchanged at US$1/bbl over the benchmark, whilst all other OSPs into the region were also left unchanged. All grades into the US, NW Europe and the Mediterranean saw increases, with OSP’s increasing by US$0.10/bbl, US$1.40/bbl and US$1.30/bbl respectively.

Carbon tax plan gets binned by Boris Johnson:

"More like the fear that it would spark riots due to the loss of jobs etc, would bring widespread misery, many are struggling already... Now let's drop the insane carbon zero race. Co2 is essential for plants. Without the oxygen they give off, all animals on the planet will die. Co2 levels in the atmosphere are not dangerously high, they're dangerously low."See link video below "A Dearth of Carbon Dr. Patrick Moore"

One should remember that it is not only the patent, its is the testing of each component, and the time it takes to get it approved, and their expertise. I do not see another competitor
Giving the time it has taken Hardide to get here. Just look at the reactor in the new plant it has not been approved by Airbus, even though its is Hardide the same company
reactor in the new plant has to go through the motions of getting it approved again

There's still no urgency here to return any money to shareholders.

the Board expects the Company to remain cash consumptive for at least the current year.

Perhaps if the BOD owned a larger stake in the company there might be a bit more incentive to generate a profit and return a dividend.

The tech is great, the customer list is great, the recent factory move is positive but 15 years of losses and zero returns to shareholders says it all.

At some point HDD is a buy. Do they still have any patent protection on their technology? Or do investors think the capex spent on reactors and their know-how is enough of a competitive moat now?
