23/7/2004 10:39 | Yep, I agree something is definetaly going on. But has it something to do with the 10.65mln stg placing? | tang_shiu_hei
23/7/2004 10:35 | The volume and size of trades really dont stack up - people dont buy 500k worth unless they are sure about something. My gut is exactly as above - griffins has an incredibly valuable property option that needs additional finance to complete. Would I be correct in assuming that once exercised and completed, the gain would be sheltered under AIM share CGT rules? | mdchand
23/7/2004 10:32 | 2 x 250k MM buys gone through in the past 15mins. Something developing here...... | pointscorer
23/7/2004 10:29 | THink about this - 4.5 acres (agricultural) without residential planning permission around £50K; with residential planning permission say £1million. THats 20 times original value......... (Just as an example) but you get the point.......DYOR and IMHO etc. etc. | davidlloyd
23/7/2004 10:11 | Does anyone know what Griffin's property option is? Potentially, if they have an option on a large industrial site which has recently received residential planning permission, then one could make a case for the unjustified price hike. (We have clients who operate in the commercial property area, and its not uncommon for such options to yield in excess of 100% when the above scenario is executed) | mdchand
23/7/2004 09:58 | falling away..... | pointscorer
23/7/2004 08:15 | i agree with niggle - i cannot see what acquisition will double the value of this company, expecially after a placing and 1-for-10 consolidation... | sportbilly1976

23/7/2004 08:14 | hsd only made £140,000 last year - but i think its the ramping services lom 2 referred to which is keeping price afloat | pipwattam

23/7/2004 07:32 | ex gratia payment (through theback door) to mr ramsden for ramping services rendered The Company is also in negotiations to acquire the entire issued share capital of Griffin Leisure Limited, a company which is currently owned by Mr Ramsden and which holds an option to acquire certain real property interests. The proposed consideration for this acquisition is the issue of 10 million new ordinary shares of £0.001 each in Hansard, valuing that company at approximately £300,000 based on the price per Placing Share referred to above. £10m placing at 30p, short this dog when rights issue done | lom2
