20/8/2004 15:13 | Ialwayswinatmonopoly I believe the stop loss for the share given in the article by Mark Watson-Mitchell was around 75p so there may also have been some stop loss selling. This has been an accident waiting to happen as the company valuation was bid up to a level beyond reality. It was purely a momentum play based on the fact that Terry Ramsden was involved with the company and he supposedly had a following waiting to pile in. When you take account of the proposed share issue the valuation moves to a level which is not consistent with current performance so a lot of future hope is built in. At a price of 30-40p they may be good value, but at any other level this is purely a gamble. To be fair Mark Watson-Mitchell did say in his article that it was a gamble, and so it has proved. Edited: The moment EVO reduced their holding there was no reason for the stock to be supported at the 80's level. Prior to this time I couln't understand why the amount of selling had not produced a bigger fall. | mostyn | |
