25/3/2009 08:23 | Hi SteMiS Yes, encouraging. I take it that Friday's rapid rise had something to do with promotion to the FTSE 250. Also encouraging that it hasn't yet retraced (unlike Vectura). | westcountryboy
25/3/2009 08:12 | Dividend is payable on 1st April to those on register at 6 March. There seems to be a general drift upwards in forecasts with 3.0p per share added to EPS for 2010 over last month or two. | stemis
26/2/2009 09:11 | Decent set of results - interim dividend up 5% to 5.25p, a rolling 12.25p [looks like the forecasts are too low. Why would they increase the interim but cut the final?]. I'd expect around 12.6p (up 5% like interim). Yield would be 8.6% at current 146.5p - cash up 2.7p per share (after paying last years final dividend of 7p) to 53.3p per share - EEV up to 195p per share Profits were £12.7m after £2.7m of exchange gain. Expectation is H2 to track underlying H1 (i.e £10m) so £22.7m for the year. Pretty much in line with forecasts. Assuming similar underlying cashflow I'd expect cash to increase by around 2.45p (2.7p H1 - 2.0p exchange gain + 1.75p lower dividend in H2) to 55.75p. | stemis
05/2/2009 13:01 | Trading update:- Seems to be heading towards a full year outturn of 16.6p+ H1 07 earnings were £12.6m. If H1 08 is marginally ahead, say £12.8m and H2 08 will be the same (less the £2.8m exchange gain) then its £22.8m for the year. This equates to EPS of 16.6p and a dividend of 12p ish. Cash should be about 55p a share. | stemis
24/9/2008 08:07 | Results are slightly ahead of expectation:- Actual Forecast Profit after tax 23.3m 23.1m EPS 17.0p 16.88p DPS 12.0p 11.82pBased on a share price of 132p, current P/E is 7.8, dividend yield 9.1% and discount to net assets (calculated as EEV) is 25%. Company holds cash and investments of £69.5m compared to a market capitalisation of £181.2m | stemis
11/9/2008 20:11 | Forecasts seem to be slightly upgraded | stemis
08/8/2008 13:26 | Final results should be towards the end of September. | stemis
10/7/2008 08:52 | On a historic yield of 7.2% with £56m of the £190m market capitalisation held as cash. Broker's forecasts are that dividend will increase by 17-50% making yield 8.4-10.8%. | stemis
30/1/2008 08:00 | New business figures out. Level of new business seems constant from the first 4 months although not replicating the stonking performance of the Nov/Dec period last year. Assets under administration obviously hit by the fall in the stock markets. 2007 2006 4 mths 6 mths 4 mth 6 mths Regular 5.3 9.4 3.6 8.4 Single 5.9 7.7 5.0 8.8 New business premiums 11.2 17.1 8.6 17.2 Compensation credit 5.5 9.0 4.4 8.2 Assets under administration 1,223 1,218 964 1,035Hansards previous comment that "regular premium business is more profitable than single premium business"[2007 Final Results] is worth noting. | stemis
19/11/2007 12:03 | Nice trading statement:- - New business in first four months up 30.4% - Assets under administration up 8.2% to £1.22bn during the period (or 26.8% over the last 12 months) - Cash up from £70.8m to £77.2m (= 56p per share) - Margins maintained - Financial performance in line with expectation. Strip out the cash and I would guess this is on a forecast 2007/8 P/E of around 11. Yield is about 5.9% | stemis

04/10/2007 17:57 | Strong rise today. Looks like the rebound from 200p toward 300p is gaining some momentum. | stemis
01/10/2007 17:58 | A number of directors have bought today and yesterday. Final and special dividend of 11p is payable on 23rd November (ex div 26 October 2007) | stemis

26/8/2004 11:24 | advfn need to pull their fingure out on the epic change. I also think that the concrete news of the Griffin takeover with their Barbados assets potentially worth £100+ million is very exciting and gives this serious upside. | paddyfool

25/8/2004 20:39 | This whole escapade with these three stocks has been a fiasco and will do nothing to enhance those who are connected reputations. Also a fair few investors will have felt fleeced from various tipsters & magazines punting these - this does nothing to enthuse investors to go back in the market. The shannigans are so daft they almost look staged & a set-up - all those involved need to put their houses in order. | isis
