If HMSO go sub about 14.5p it will have written off all value of the shares pre rights. The only value will be the cash raised in the rights issue.

So with market cap at 600m when do funds start buying back in, or are are most rule bound waiting for hmso to get in ftse 250 again, which it should comfortably do now I guess?

Besides the cloudy rental outlook, the main issue is this equity raise
appears to have only made a dent in the overall net debt imv.

Sounds a good plan Mason. Hard assets look good for the next few years given the money printing that's been going on.

I know this is the Hammerson thread, but what targets do you have for Silver please? I sold some at 27 but looking to get back in. Apologies to others here.Re Hammerson. I don't understand the rationale for investing at the moment. Land Sec, yes, I get that yield of 10% on current market with LTV 30%. Here though, it's not a yield play as visibility on income is poor and so it's basically a punt on NAV v Market Cap v Risk of Going Bust. At some stage it's worth a punt for the gambler.

I am more into allocated silver and gold in my eyes it a one way ticket Researchcentre123
you will get some nasty bumps along the way but i can say its saved me well, the last 10 years. if you want to get in. Now would be a good opportunity, it may go down a bit more so if you can judge it you may be lucky and find bottom $19 maybe even lower but when this go up again you won't get a chance. it will fly maybe after USA elections thats the real reason this has been knocked down again.

hope this helps you make some money? if you do get in you will thank me at some point forget shares for the next 5years if your lucky.

3 months back, correlation between precious metals/US dollar is back. Silver and gold will probably not bottom until US dollar tops for its Intermediate Cycle High. Gold/Silver 30 year ratio is backtesting, but still think we have a 2-4 weeks (final) Intermediate Cycle decline in front of us. Said many weeks ago Price Objectives are $1810 for gold and $22 for silver.”…;

You found some hard assets to buy Mason? Must be a few deals out there (I know you like a bit more control than with shares and can't say I blame you....)

Maybe you are right Mason - I never thought you were a while back I'm afraid! It is interesting that those behind the ri are buying more shares as it goes down, almost like they knew it would be a great opportunity to buy and get shares very cheap. Interesting too that blackrock have just got over 10 percent so between lighthouse apg and them is over 50 percent control.

Just a small investor but my analysis is based on long term holding rather than that of a day trader. (Probably why my view is more pronounced iover time e it's cheap). Which means I'm wrong currently (ie down) but hopefully just wrong until I'm right. If you're a day trader or week by week, full respect to you - I can look at fundamentals but find the sentiment hard to judge.

So de beer and lighthouse are now writing out a cheque for 110 million pounds and still trying to buy more shares....I don't see how anyone can be doing that without being pretty damn certain that the company will be doing well......

Yup either a billionaire insider doesn't know what he's doing or he knows something the market hasn't factored in. My guess is the latter.....I think the story will turn once a new CEO is appointed assuming an improvement on Atkins which wldnt be too difficult

technowiz, there were some wonky PME RNS this morning on some feeds. It looked like a re-run of those from last night's auction.
