17/12/2012 10:49 | Seems odd not to announce what has become of Daffern or have I missed something? | sivadnoj
17/12/2012 10:43 | nobody has paid 2p - yet (apart from the CEO that is!) | phillis
17/12/2012 10:04 | Indeed, feeling bullish here for the first time in ages....!! | chrisdgb
17/12/2012 09:27 | Well, there we have it! There had to be a degree of inevitability that the Assaubayev family would take a 'hands-on' approach to HMB and they have moved quickly to do just that. There can hardly be anyone better qualified to deal with the 'wrinkles' in Kazakhstan and I would imagine he will want to make an early positive impact. Chip | chipperfrd
14/12/2012 15:26 | Hi guys. Been away all this week, and had a feeling that we might be getting close to 2p by the time I got back. I am expecting a further reasonable lift (2.5p?) by Xmas, since people can now see that we have majority shareholders who know the people they need to know, have more or less unlimited funds to push HMB onwards, and a reputation to build as potential FTSE 100 players. It is certain that if our beloved TD does not spend major time on running the mine, actually in Kaz,he may not be long for this world.(Hooray) From this time on, we have gold in the ground, we have dominant players who want it out as fast and as cheaply as possible, want to move on to other nice opportunities in countries where support can be "acquired" from the authorities, and are the kind of people who will not take "no" for an answer. Terrific. With all the idiotic errors and disasters forgotten, the slate swept clean, Zorab hopefully consigned to the slagheap of useless PR Men, what is to worry about. 10p by next Christmas? Poor old Bridgen won't half be rueing the timing of the divorce. I hope Mark 2 is worth it! | almost
14/12/2012 12:39 | ..it would be good to break through 2p.... | haff1
14/12/2012 12:30 | I accept the reduced liquidity should produce bigger spikes one way or t'other. I've seen that happen with other stocks. Possibly will benefit traders more than 'buy and hold' investors. | 1nf3rn0
14/12/2012 12:24 | exactly my thoughts much reduced liquidity at these levels | phillis
14/12/2012 11:43 | 1nf3rn0 A few people have bought since the offer went unconditional - myself included. I thought it was blindingly obvious how this might play out. With 60% held in firm hands and most of the remaining 40% held by those who felt 2p/share was not enough, it does lead to the question "who will sell at 2p or below so that others can buy stock"? It still leaves HMB to prove their investment case for a rise above 2p. For that we shall have to await further developments. | chipperfrd
14/12/2012 11:27 | 1nf3rn0 you clearly didn't try to buy any of any size, hence my post a few days ago that stock was being held tight.Given I tendered the full amount I have only managed to get 40% of my stock back sub 1.7p which I knew was a risk beforehand. Still time yet though IF I decide to add. | aaaaar
14/12/2012 11:23 | ...what's behind this rise?.... | haff1
14/12/2012 11:13 | Why? My point of accepting 2p and either buying back at 1.7p when you had the chance or walking away still holds. | 1nf3rn0
14/12/2012 11:01 | Guessing it will be a quiet day from 1nf3rn0! | aaaaar
13/12/2012 16:33 | 1nf - Not everyone does have spare cash and when the deal was announced they only wanted 60% anyway. In my case why buy back what I sold for more than I paid for them in the first place?! Its all about timing (as it always is) although I still feel that there is money to be made from the current market price. I like the contrary views here and as mentioned in an earlier post I can't wait to see how it all pans out in the end. It will be interesting to see how the payment of the 2p next week influences the market price if those wanting to buy back do so. The "3p" portion of my holding is still in play but the other part has paid for Xmas and a trip to the New Year sales! Love to hear on the forum what your trades have actually been. Off topic I'm hoping MWA goes down a bit over the holiday period. | timgw
13/12/2012 15:45 | Tim. Are you suggesting the money might not be paid out? Unless an investor literally has no spare cash until receipt of the 2p deal, they could buy now, effectively buying back what they have sold. It's a not a complicated concept. | 1nf3rn0
13/12/2012 15:12 | I'm still rather baffled as how one could "buy back" before receiving the money in the first place! By being clued up I bought a shed load at 1.1p as my crystal ball had recently been given its annual upgrade. With all that free cash being given away I am surprised that some people have the time to post here when they could be getting out a bit more. | timgw
13/12/2012 10:58 | You could've bought back for 1.7p. You turned down free cash. As did a few others. Quite revealing really, shows that some possibly aren't as clued up as they let on. | 1nf3rn0
13/12/2012 10:28 | didn't need to happy to take a punt bye bye | phillis
12/12/2012 21:33 | You didn't accept the 2p offer did you Phillis? Poor judgement eh. | 1nf3rn0
12/12/2012 19:10 | haven't you gone yet? | phillis
12/12/2012 18:13 | Will be nice to get 2p for our 1.7p shares in a few days. Thanks African "Santa Claus" Resources. | 1nf3rn0
12/12/2012 17:15 | There is potentially a good story here for the PI's that remain in HMB, i for one am intending to hang around for sometime to come - I may even top up whne i have the available funds.. | lesteague
12/12/2012 17:07 | now the moaners and groaners ( with some cause it must be added) have sold, presumably they will disappear, so the BB is going to be a lot quieter in future. To be revisited when news is published no doubt | phillis
12/12/2012 15:12 | Not sure why anyone is surprised by the latest drill results or why the timing of them should be questioned. There have been a string of good drilling reports released over the last couple of years including those on 21st Feb and 15th May this year. They did not raise questions then or make any difference to the general bearish views on HMB - so why now? It seems that whatever this company does there will be negative interpretations! From my point of view, I am really pleased with the ongoing results from drilling. But I know that the only way HMB will change sentiment on their stock will be from production and earnings - although a resolution on Akmola 'ought' to be a positive factor as well! Although some of these latest intercepts are really excellent. They will only be properly recognised by the market when they are in the position to mine the UG deposits currently being delineated. In the meantime, I consider them under-valued on just their open-pit operation and will wait to see their financial position at the end of this current quarter. Plus I look forward with interest to any further developments which may be in the pipeline due to the influence of their majority shareholder. Chip | chipperfrd |
