12/12/2012 14:01 | Phillis - The results just published have been accumulating since the last report in June 2012. They include results which "in many areas exceed the previous geological and mineral resource modelling". It would have been helpful to know the latest position before having to decide on the recent offer. The question raised in my mind is whether all parties concerned were acting from the same uninformed position. This is AIM so nothing surprises me. | boadicea
12/12/2012 13:47 | But if you think they have bought them cheap at 2p,then buy them back for 1.75p! | p@
12/12/2012 13:08 | The AIM market seems to have regulators that allow a form of self-regulation. That means that the participators can do what they like whilst regulators sit back and watch. If you make a complaint to the AIM regulators they will simply ask you to prove it yourself and not show any interest in looking into it themselves. It is a sort of financial Catch 22 that applies to all companies not just HMB. | timgw
12/12/2012 12:23 | The implication of my remark was that it is a question the FSA (or whoever now 'polices'? the market) should be asking. | boadicea
12/12/2012 10:56 | Bought some back at 1.7- | p@
12/12/2012 10:55 | No IRONy in the drilling results! | p@
12/12/2012 10:52 | recognise that sorry was more directed at Boadicea nice to see our hero getting on with those bits of the business he can control | phillis
12/12/2012 10:48 | Phillis...a touch of irony in my last post :-) | lfdkmp
12/12/2012 10:46 | Would Bridgen have sold all his shares at 1.8p if he had been aware of impending good drilling results? There is still the difficulty of extracting the gold at a reasonable cost but it seems that the gms/t is considerably higher than the average from milled tonnes for the first three quarters of 2012. It's probably about time that AIM shares were added to the list of financial scandals! | timgw
12/12/2012 10:46 | it's not really a surprise is it? | phillis
12/12/2012 10:29 | What a splendid surprise for African Resources! They could be sitting (well 60%) on a gold mine. | lfdkmp
12/12/2012 10:22 | boa-my thoughts too. | p@
12/12/2012 10:22 | I wonder how long they have been sitting on that info! | boadicea
12/12/2012 10:06 | some nice looking numbers in the drilling results.......... | chrisdgb
11/12/2012 17:51 | Sorry kaj, just to clarify, you think there will be a huge lowball placing, or are you being sarcastic? | 1nf3rn0
11/12/2012 13:57 | Infero not PI bulls. People who still believe in the sanctity & integrity of our markets and people who believe that you do not only make money when shares fall in price. Market manipulation is not the only way to make money. Does it make any sense to anyone? AR want to buy 60% of the co at 2p yet the stock is stagnant at 1.7p. Does that make sense to any right thinking person? I keep on looking in here to see what happens? Not that I am interested where the share price goes. I will make a prediction. 1 billion new shares at 1p then share consolidation at 10 for one and here we go again. Make money, money, make money. Absolute nonesense. | kajshares
11/12/2012 10:57 | EBRD can do what they like with their shares as they are just another EU quango with no regard to where the money comes from when they pee it up the wall! The control of the company is now in private hands and my view is that they have rather more idea of how to make money than the EBRD. Having just paid 2p for their shares I cannot for one moment see them giving shares to other people for half that price in the near future. In another year's time we will know for sure who was right and who was wrong. There will be an awful lot of "told-you-so" next Xmas! | timgw
10/12/2012 20:32 | absurd -yes! the spelling is about the only thing you have right - for a change | phillis
10/12/2012 17:32 | Well looks like so far i am right the Big boys are leaving the party, it will be interesting to see if all the other main shareholders have sold out, as i said what worried me was the big boys selling out and leaving the PI holding the can, then a placing say at 1p ish or maybe lower the said big boys then buy back in and pocket 50% of their stake for the same amount of the shares. Crooked yes illegal NO | chestnuts
10/12/2012 17:16 | The path of least resistance is up! | aaaaar
10/12/2012 16:52 | Seems everyone has taken the money and run apart from a small group of pi bulls! What does that tell you? | 1nf3rn0
10/12/2012 16:43 | I guess some of the other II's wouldnt budge ? or they plan to buy them back cheaper ? But then again EBRD were over exposed here relatively speaking Very interesting | vish65
10/12/2012 16:07 | So EBRD took the money and ran! (or is there another explanation?) | boadicea
07/12/2012 20:32 | Gold rising again. | sequoia |
