shares in Halfords were down 3.3% after Panmure downgrade the cycling and motor parts retailer to 'hold' from 'buy'.

...last financial year, and the year before, there was a "20 week trading update" released on 8th September, so we may well get a similar thing in the next few weeks.

I still think the management have been over pessimistic in their outlook. I'm expecting this to go a little further yet.

Anyone following Halfords knows that it is a well run forward thinking company. I sold out when it hit its peak and that was a good peak to sell at. I have recently repurchased because it's grossly undervalued and has at least a 100% upside.

I'm now fully invested.

Well said.

That Kendo is a brick short of a load, apart from in the ability to spout cliches and give the old ego a massage by waiting for fallen share prices to support a view that was never expressed at much higher prices.

What a stupid untrue comment. Anyone following Halfords knows that it is a well run forward thinking company. I sold out at a similar price because I know It's a volatile stock and that was a good peak to sell at. I have recently repurchased because it's grossly undervalued and has at least a 100% upside.

I'm now fully invested.

Great sign? All these directors sold out at 4.40plus??Yeah.... They knew alright imo.As a business HFD seem to promote Jack of all trades and Master of none?Caution is advised here.A new change of strategy and a new CEO is needed here imo.Buying every new business with a heart beat and capitulating it as a future saviour is getting rather boring. What is Halfords? What is their business model? What is the total amount of continual debt they wish to keep adding to the pot? What the hell is going on?IMO I for one have always stayed that the CEO has always been a screw short of a nut.But given the coconuts he has employed to be his fall guys is perhaps another reason whyHFD Is doomed?

Director Shareholding RNS, at first glance a string of large purchases at 142.9p, wow, great sign.

At second glance, "Grant of shares under the Deferred Bonus Plan." Not purchases at all. And nice price to be able to issue them to yourselves.

This stock has been extraordinarily volatile over the years

and yet it continues to churn out the profits and dividends year after year for as long as I can remember

markets are so easily manipulated in both directions
