£2 area or just under or above is huge multi year support look at the long term chart in the header.

Be surprised if they don't test it shortly.

They annouce soon.Well last year i think they had a profit guidance of 71 million. My guesstimate is 61-63 year end going by the last 3 quarters.Just hope they have a real plan going forward or we will proably see a new CEO in 15 months.Europe in recession and its getting worse.

I would have thought that the attached autocentres had vehicle access - the two I know of do. Not much point to having them if they don't.

Being a significantly car orientated business, I'd expect people don't mind driving to get there. More so than trying to park up near a mall to get access.

On the other hand the attached centres occupy less space.

Autocentres have v low rents

Halfords stores on open malls with high rents

Probs not a goer

Right here's my take, for what it's worth.

Halfords sell their traditional garages (sorry, Autocentres); clear their debt, and continue putting up mini Autocentres alongside their stores.

All in favour, say aye - or just give me a green tick :).

Halfords is probably the best and most relevant store left on the high street imo. Well priced electric bikes, first class customer service in store, and very good back up customer service by telephone. Excellent warranties. eg, electric bikes currently have 20% off with trade in, and the battery is covered for 2 years. Well done to Halfords, I don't see how Amazon could ever offer the same level of service for electric bikes

After Brexit everyone will be cycling. Cars are increasingly not welcome in city centres, so more commuting on bikes.

At the same time, people are less and less practically minded - after all, apart from Lego at the age of 5, for the last xx years nobody has been brought up playing with anything mechanical. Taking a rear wheel off a bike to put a new tube in is half a day's job for many folk, as is putting a light bulb into the car (although to be fair its an hours job for a skilled mechanic on many cars, seeing as you have to dismantle half the front end just to get a hand in to take them out).

If Halfords can't make something good out of that then I certainly will.

Well Kendo - personally I think you're reading the currency 180degrees wrong. But hey, that is the Forex market; and who knows....entirely guess work. However what is fact is that at the turn of the year every hedgie bar none was short GBP; and we are even now smelling burnt fingers as they cover.

I've been watching these for now about 4-5weeks. Still haven't bought, but likely to do so soon as the chart shows clear indications of positive base-building...

Well we have had no cold weather this year and that will hurt against last years Q4 imo.Summer came early to and was a good one so they have tough LFL compareables to beat too?Gonna get tougher in Q1.....still see this heading lower rather than higher at present imo.Retail is the toughest sector at present and the headwinds of recession loom upon the UK and will worsen and very quickly as our illiterate and defunct PM makes a hash of Brexit. The Dow is powering ahead and the dollar will continue to strengthen globally as the facto currency as Europe and the rest of the world hit recession, I pray to the Lord they have sufficiently hedged long term against the dollar as I see the pound on par with the dollar sooner rather than later?Onwards....onwards into the headwinds.

Looks like another shake up of the Exec team. Another one of the Dixon’s clan joining at the expense of people who know the business - watch this space!
